Sacking him is not the right decision. The next manager will come in and the same fans will want them gone when it gets tough.

He needs to improve things, obviously, but constantly sacking managers is the reason we’re the mess we are.
I also expect given our penchant for not giving managers very long... that this puts off plenty of options.

It was 100% because of the manager... how you think he has no ownership of that game is madness.
So Vic comes out after the game and says that the players didn't fight and you still put 100% of the blame on the manager...

It was obvious what the managers tactics yesterday were because they were the same tactics we used in pre-season against PSG to good effect. We were set up to press defensivley, give up no space and look to get out on transition and hit the opponent with counters or set pieces.
It was for sure the best tactic we could have employed against Woolwich and could have worked.

The issue is the players weren't on it, Against PSG we harried and pressed and denied them space, against Woolwich we shuffled side to side and gave their players time to get their heads up and pick a pass. Which killed us.
There was no pressure on the ball, no snap to our play and when we got the ball we got bullied and lost it.

So No, it wasn't purely on the tactics or the manager.

People already forgetting we churned out this kind of shit last season too and against the likes of Woolwich and chelsea too. How many times in a row did we concede in the opening 2 minutes of a game? There's a reason we lost 22 league games last year and it wasn't because of our easy on the eye free flowing total football.

I'm sorry - we never once "churned out" anything like the Chelsea and Woolwish disasters. The numbers don't lie mate. Only your memory and your derangement.

Vs Scum

Home: Spurs .79 Vs Scum 1.12
Away: Spurs .78 Vs Scum 2.26

Vs Chavs

Home Spurs 3.25 Vs Chavs 2.57
Away Spurs 1.40 Vs Chavs 1.30.

Some of us warned you the grass would not be greener. You didn't listen. Now all you have is the need to lie to yourself. But the numbers don't lie and don't change.

It was never the manager. It was (and is) the squad.

He came in and instantly raised our floor by addressing our glaring defensive issues and making us very competent at set pieces. These big improvements were very welcome back in August and we won our first 2 league games with clean sheets.

However, its now the end of November and 3 months of football has occurred since then and we've seen no other improvements and now its clear as day that our attacking football has completely suffered since his appointment. Frank has also had the luxury of new attacking signings like Simons and Muani but hasn't got any of it to work.

I'm only seeing red flags. Nothing seems to be improving. He doesn't know his best team and we seem to have no idea how to create chances from open play.
His forward line at Brentford was big powerful blokes with pace who could hold it up and bring others into it.

At Spurs he has the human pinball machine Richarlison, a teenage waif in Odobert and Kudus who has to beat 3 players everytime because Richy is not worth passing to.

Xavi is laughably out of his depth in the prem and we will take a Rick Waller sized bath on him. Tel scores then gets dropped, ditto BJ and despite doing more in 3 mins against Chelsea than all our other outfield players combined in the rest of the match - Bergvall again can’t get a start.

It’s a mixture of poor management and a woeful squad

In that Crystal Palace 1-0 loss we had an xG of 1.02 to Palace .98 🤷‍♂️

But given we had our Back 5 fit and playing in that game it was definitely one of the worse performances for a Postecoglou side that had that Back 5 playing.

It just wasn't nearly as bad as you've made yourself remember and is nothing at all like the catastrophes we've seen against Chavs and Goons in the last month
it was as bad it was equally fucking shocking. Cunts pining for ange havent a clue. Short short memories

What about the Liverpool away performance with a chance of making a final? Rolled over as meekly for that as I've ever seen. Atleast for 30 minutes yesterday we put up some kind of resistance. You could pull out any number of performances of the 25 or so losses from last season that could match yesterday's. Wasn't we 3-0 down at home to them last season or the season before?

Bergval and Tel were unused subs yesterday. We can't just keep signing new players and kicking these lads further down the pecking order. Tel won't even be making the match day squads once solanke is back fit. Its a total mess.

Because we were up against infinitely better teams.

Palace were I think bottom or minimum relegation zone when we got outplayed and beaten by them. The numbers are irrelevant.

The Ipswich performance was equally as bad if not worse. And it won’t come under your silly ‘when back 5 were available’ (no coach should be judged on this) because ONE player was missing. We lost to them .. at home.

We didn’t win a single game against Woolwich or Chelsea under Ange. Even when playing the latter when they sucked.

The Ipswich home game was definitely a terrible result. Particularly because, like the Palace away result, our Back 5 was pretty much available.

Spurs 1.75 Vs Ipswich 2.18.

The point is (as ever) not that Postecoglou was brilliant - just, simply, that changing the manager wasn't going to change our fortunes.

Feel free to put up the numbers 🤷‍♂️

I don't know where this reputation comes from. Pochettino had like 5 years or something. Both Jose and Conte had a good 18 months, which is actually quite long in modern football, and certainly about the shelf life of both of that pair on average.

It's only really "not very long" for someone like Nuno, and if you decide to pretend Sherwood was a proper long-term appointment.

Who is pining for Ange? Not me. I'm just pointing out that, like I warned all last season, the bloke was probably overachieving with the squad at his disposal and that getting rid of him wasn't going to magically improve us. Because our squad is meh.

But pretending that loss to Palace last season was "equally fucking shocking" to the recent Chav and Scum games then I'd politely suggest you're lying to yourself.

17th is over achieving?? I can point out 20 games last year as bad against inferior teams than them scummy cunts

I'm happy for Frank to persist with playing one of Bentancur or Palhinha, but I think it's clear that Bergvall has to be partnering one of them.

I know it's a lot to pin all of our seasons hopes on a youngster, but he's the only one with that energy / bravery we need to actually get on the ball in those tight areas and drive forward. At the moment we just can't seem to get up the pitch.

Vicario
Porro Romero VDV Udogie
Palhinha/Bentancur Bergvall
Kudus Xavi Odobert/Tel

This is what we need to see more of going forward.

What????

The back 5 in that semi was

Kinsky,.......Gray, Danso, Davies, Spence

We didn't concede until the 34th minute and then it all fell apart, up to the point with a shite defence we did ok tbh. It was a cup semi final, away at A field second leg with us already 1-0 up after the home leg. It was correct to go there and hold onto that lead for as long as possible
