The "this team finished 17th last season" part tells me that he does not rate this squad as constructed currently. Basically he is saying these players are not up to the level of performance he (and us the fans) is looking for.

I don’t know if he’s the man for the job, but outside of Romero, Van de Ven, and maybe Kudus/Porro, the side is made up entirely of average (or worse) footballers or young players that are years away from reaching their potential.

Regardless of who is manager, it’s going to take a few years to sort it out in the transfer market and wait for development from promising players like Bergvall, Simons, Sarr, Gray, Udogie, Odobert, Vuskovic, maybe Tel.

It was the clubs choice to spend over 200m of the transfer kitty on young players and that takes time to manifest. If they want to win immediately, actually invest in proven talent.

Unless we have a flawless winter and summer transfer window, I don’t see us competing in the top five of the Prem until at least the 2027/2028 season.

People were ignoring the Frank out vote just 7 days ago…… was despicable to consider talking about it.

I told you.

A Week is a long time in football people.

People on here have been saying it'll take a few years to sort it out in the transfer market for, well........a few years 😂

I swear playing three in midfield, four at the back and keeping the ball on the deck and we would of given them a game.
100% we would... but the Franatics would have you believe the only way we could get anything was to setup and play like Frank did. Since the game they are now blaming the players and Ange... the sooner they make peace that Frank is hopelessly out of his depth and wont see out this season the better they will feel.

I mean, I’m not saying it will work out because the club is run disgracefully (though I guess new structure and all that).

My point is that our squad is by and large shite or too young to be trusted and even the fucking ghost of Rinus Michels couldn’t sort it out.

Keeping or firing Frank is basically meaningless, all down to what Lange and Paratici can get done in the market especially with attacking players.

What have you seen in Frank’s 19 games that makes you think that with a few choice signings we will be challenging in the top 4?

Or that with Deki and Madders back it will be different?

We keep hearing that had Ange been able to count on his first choice back 5 more that it would have been a different story, yet Frank has had a benefit of that and it’s awful.

If there were signs then I’d say yes, I agree, and we can’t keep chopping and changing. At some point you need consistency, but if something is woefully wrong - like with Nuno- then you have to act fast.

I’m not saying Frank has to go right now, but I’m not seeing anything that says yeah this is the guy.

At least with Poch we saw patterns and ideas. Frank is playing to not lose and we are losing anyway.
Tbh that doesn’t involve that much coaching ability. Prbly easiest thing to coach just tell your players to sit back and lump the ball forward. People go on about the defencive coaching as some great skill it’s not. To me it is lazy coaching. That’s why likes of big Sam, dyche, etc do it as they are not great coaches of improving teams. Lower league teams do it constantly to PL teams. So Frank has gone for the real basic coaching by simply having bodies back. Yet in that we can see that we don’t actually defend as we cough so many goal chances. There is no coaching. We are not solid and we cannot attack. What he may have done is improve on set pieces.

You think we weren't competitive on Sunday because of the players?!? The players didn't pick the most defensive option in each position, didn't pick the formation, didn't chose to completely surrender midfield, didn't have a plan B for when Woolwich scored etc
Our lack of competitiveness is on the manager. How do you think international players feel being asked to play like a league 2 side drawn against a premier League team?!
Some of these players are on their 4th manager. Many are on at least the 3rd.

Same result with each manager. Maybe you’re right and number 5 is the charm.

Bollocks. He is using it as an excuse to finish 14 or 15th and say this is improvement. He's gaslighting you and a lot of others on here.
Ange mentioned 5th was an improvement over the previous season 8th and people fucked him all over as an excuse for not finish 4th. Hilarious.

But I l'm sure there will be many graceful and forgiving people here to Frank and buy in to his gaslighting if we indeed happen to finish at 12th or 14th.

Yes I remember that interview, and he seemed to be talking the talk, but we can all do that!
I'm ok with giving him a bit more time, as Rome wasn't built in a day, but he needs to turn things around soon, as our patience will run thin before the end of the season.
I'm quite sure he'll get more time. beat Fulham and probably back up the league 2 or 3 places.

The way things are going so far, 18 points from 12 league matches, means on average the club is earning 1.5 points per game.

1.5 x 38 = 57

It's a meaningless calculation except to show the form up until now projected throughout the whole league season.

He’s not dumb, he knows 14th won’t be accepted.

Did you expect him to go from 17th to top 6 while in a tougher European competition than last season? His best attacking player is out for the season, his best CF has yet to play. We did very little to improve an already mediocre best XI in the summer.

This current squad is shit and it’s been 8 years of squad regression in the making.

Disagree. This squad should be top 6. And everyone was creaming themselves when we signed Kudus, Palhinha and Simons. Add in RKM a few good youngster and two world class centre backs and we should be challenging at the top. Yeah he has injuries but every team suffers with injuries so no excuse. The only thing shit is the manager and his tactics.

Every words from him will always have about losing. Fucking hell. I remember the very first few pressers he already talked about 'there will be losses' in the entire season. He honestly doesn't need to say that. Nobody is expecting him to have an invincible season, yet he keep talking down our chances of winnings with such stupid quotes.
Yeah its concerning. Reeks of small-time mentality.

When you're a small club like Brentford where half the players have come from lower leagues & feel lucky to even be playing in the PL you can get away with this sort of talk.

If he's telling Spurs players in the dressing room 'y'know - we'll have off days. it's normal' after we've put in an historically bad performance with 0.05 xG against a rival, it just won't fly. Could well be why we saw that petulant reaction from Spence and VdV - they're just not having it. Especially after Ange who, for all his many failings, was a very good talker and had genuinely lofty ambitions.

I've always been of the opinion that we should keep Frank unless we have a very good replacement lined-up, but it feels like there's a bit of momentum building atm. I think the board will be very relucant to sack him but if he loses the dressing room it's curtains for Frank.

If you lose the respect of the players you're toast regardless of how much time you're given.

Yeah his comments aren’t great. Hasn’t grasped the club he’s at. Nuno all over again.
It's so alarming. He's completely out of his depth and everything he says is just cringe. So out of 60 games we will see the team play well a dozen times at most and the rest will be varying degrees of average and shite. Surely someone in the comms department should give him a bit of coaching.

The Dutch have a reputation for being direct and honest, sometimes brutally so, when expressing opinions. Are the Danes the same?
