That quote coming from the manager of a Big 6 club is reprehensible.
He'd be pilloried to Hell and back for those comments if he was manager of one of our two biggest rivals. And justifiably so.

Bloke needs to stop fucking talking he's making it worse. Ridiculous shit he's spouting. I thought we'd done with the fairytale when fat Ange went. That quote coming from the manager of a Big 6 club is reprehensible.

At this time last year we were 6th, 4 points off second, with a GD of +14 and had just thrashed City 0-4 on their own deck.
I completely agree that Frank deserves more patience but this isn't the best comparison to make![]()
You are right, it's the manner of the defeats that is so disturbing. In most of the losses the fans are questioning the players effort, whether the players are proud to be wearing the Tottenham shirt. That's a horrible thing to be thinking about your own players. But some of the performances are so poor and it is difficult to see a reason for that.Aston Villa L
Chelsea L
Woolwich L
Newcastle L (cup)
Bournemouth L
It's not looking great really.
The manner of the defeats to Chelsea and Woolwich makes it feel a lot worse.
Tbh, as catastrophically shite as we've been in recent weeks, I genuinely think we'll see improvement if we stick it out with Frank. If the board back the manager and the players realise he's going nowhere, we'll get better over time. He's gonna keep trying stuff and eventually he'll alight upon a system that works, especially with players returning and signings made. He's not like Ange who would keep banging his head against a brick wall doing the exact same thing and expecting different results - I reckon he'll start mixing things up and seeking solutions. I think this period right now is the worst it will ever be.
Nearly 30% may decide against Frank in 2 weeks! Do we really believe that Frank can conquer a team out if what he inherited ?
Unfortunately he said that he would have bought Johnson and Gray but doesn't play either of them. This is my only criticism of him so far, that he has to try to butter up things that he thinks will please supporters or management.
He needs to start to try to buy the players that will improve us and succeed. Our team with MGW and Eze would look far more attacking.
Sign Toney and get this show on tbe road.
Sensible post.Enzo Maresca was almost sacked last season...Arteta was close to getting the sack, too, a few seasons back... and, going further back, so were Klopp and Fergie as well (i.e. close to getting the sack).
I am not saying Frank will turn out to be as good as some of them but a head-coach need more than a 1/3 to turn a team around - one that ended 17th in the EPL last season...

This years squad is weaker than last years squad tho17th 17th 17th
Why do people go on about it like that is how good we are. Everyone including you know full well the league season was fucked off at the end of Feb. The squad last season was way better than 17th... its ike you'll be happy if we finish 16th... its BS. We finished 5th the season before. Why are you not using that as a barometer??? Its just lazy to say don't forget we finished 17th last season like its okay to be shit this season.

Yeah, bar Kudus, the summer buys were replacements for better injured players and Bissouma.

Yes he's gaslighting the fans and that's exactly what Postecoglou did. We can not have this, the fan base despite the pikes here is too savvy for it. Stop telling us its Sauvingnon Blanc when its Sunny Delight. Tell the truth its early we are bedding in our ideas and what you see today will not be what you see tomorrow and after a few TW. I think it will be good for the squad to know some of them will not be here in the long term. Start them living with some pressure.Do people not see the link between how he talks and how we play on the pitch?
That's what worries me in terms of us seeing more positive football...youd think he'd be talking more positively.
We',ll see in the next few weeks but I'm not overly optimistic much will change.
