You realise he's won exactly the same as Thomas Frank .:mourloopy:
yeah, right. How the fuck Brentford weren't CL winners, league winners etc etc on their budget is nothing short of a travesty. But yet there are so many self appointed experts who are capable of deconstructing the career and abilities of yet another premier league manager, from the comfort of their sofa in their grannies basement.

This is a manager thread on a football forum Mick. Are you saying it's unreasonable for people to air their views and opinions on the managers tactics and team selection .😂
What should we be discussing here. His shoe size 👞 ...or maybe his sexual preferences?

Just to add more data about the shots we are facing, it's not good reading.

Fulham to have 13 or more shots at 10/11 with Sky Bet has got my attention. Spurs are facing 12.7 shots per game this season. That's a marker of a team who are struggling to dominate territory and one which is happy to soak up pressure.

And the teams clearing the 13-shot bar aren't exactly a who's who of juggernauts. Burnley, Bournemouth, Bodø/Glimt, Monaco and Leeds have all walked into Spurs matches and hit the magic 13 or more number.

Also, Cristian Romero's suspension bodes well for a Fulham shots play.

From a 23-game sample in the Premier League, Tottenham concede almost five more shots per match without their influential defender. A huge number. That's not a wobble, that's a structural collapse - one that Fulham can exploit on their way to a victory.

SCORE PREDICTION: 1-2

Knock yourself out - but if you say something dumb, ignorant or condescending - expect to get the piss taken.

The idea that people on here have a greater grasp than Frank, is laughable. He sees the players all the time, and trains them in moves and formations and looks at who is playing well, who is fit and who works best with who.

And yet FIFA manager level self appointed, "expert" tacticians come on here and make grandiose statements, as if they are an acclaimed authority. Its cringeworthy to witness at times.

Particularly when people posting in here expect him to make a bejewelled silk purse out of a sows ear

Quite liked his 442 set up against PSG. Poor result but thought we were nuch better through the pitch.

Unlike a lot of the noise on here i dont think hes under any real pressure just yet.

Needs a good win on Saturday though.

Think the last week will be the making or breaking of Franky boy.

I hope he’s learnt about this squad in one of the harshest crash courses you can have. I hope he’s learnt what it means to be Tottenham Hotspur manager.

I want him to succeed. I want every boss to do so. So I hope this week can really be that ‘lightbulb’ moment for him.

If at 6:45pm tomorrow evening we see a Palhinha and Bentancur midfield duo - we know he didn’t learn a thing . . .

I think Frank is old enough and smart enough to be somewhat unsurprised at how things have panned out so far, and will probably just revert to the necessary resilience.

Avoiding defeat is every but as important ss winning tomorrow. It feels like our propensity to lose games is something no manager has solved for many years

If we don't win tomorrow then I think he will be very much under pressure... 53.2% on here either want him out now or are cordial towards him (in other words they aren't sure but more likely to move to OUT than IN in my view). It will be interesting to see if that number flatulates after Saturday but once the crowd turns against you, there is generally only one outcome because the board (still ENIC but just a different flavour) really don't want another round of protests...

Yeah i dont disagree, he needs a good win tomorrow.

But i would take that 53% with a pinch of salt, a couple of wins can turn that around, and its up to him, his staff and the players to do that.

I wasnt Frank in but its too early in my opinion to make a change. Based on our consistent league performances last season we shouldnt even be in any european competition.

Yet frank has come in and has to juggle between both domestic and european football, as well as fix some of the massive issues weve had in the last 18 months. All whilst remaining competetive.

Its a tough job that i think needs a bit of time on training pitch which he isnt getting and without important cogs in his team.

We should always be playing in Europe... we are the 8th/9th biggest club in world football for revenue... ideally the Champions League but in down years the minimum should be Europa League. If Frank can't juggle that grind then he shouldn't have been employed.

Completly agree we should always be in europe.

But usually being in europe means you have performed at a consistent level to participate.

We hadnt and are in it because we won the europa league.... not because we were a good team meeting the required expectations.

But equally, having got there we needed to show ambition - we sort of tried in truth, but also the bridge between 17th and top 5 is significant, as we are seeing.

Top half is improvement if not where this club should be aiming for.

I think a top 8 finish this season would be excellent in many respects.
