He said nothing of the sort. Just responded to your stupid post.

Put a bit more effort into the shit you spout.
Ermmm...He was responding to someone else's post actually 😆

Think the last week will be the making or breaking of Franky boy.

I hope he’s learnt about this squad in one of the harshest crash courses you can have. I hope he’s learnt what it means to be Tottenham Hotspur manager.

I want him to succeed. I want every boss to do so. So I hope this week can really be that ‘lightbulb’ moment for him.

If at 6:45pm tomorrow evening we see a Palhinha and Bentancur midfield duo - we know he didn’t learn a thing . . .

If only he had you to guide him.
What with all of the top level silverware you have won with elite level club football teams.

Maybe he should be sacked, for the glaring omission of failing to seek your guidance?

Completly agree we should always be in europe.

But usually being in europe means you have performed at a consistent level to participate.

We hadnt and are in it because we won the europa league.... not because we were a good team meeting the required expectations.
Well before my time but Billy nick said Tottenham should be in Europe every season. Spot on. Anything less than that is a failed season.

I get it... we lost 20 odd games but its disingenuous to think we were actually the 17th best team. I don't want to hear the league never lies because it does. You know from March the league was bombed out which was the correct thing to do but if you want to use it to belittle the achievement then you do you. I would argue we did perform at a consistent level in Europe but I guess that doesn’t count.

Im not belittling anything, it was a great achievement.

So should Frank bomb out the league games now or try and correct past wrongs where that was deemed acceptable.

Knock yourself out - but if you say something dumb, ignorant or condescending - expect to get the piss taken.

The idea that people on here have a greater grasp than Frank, is laughable. He sees the players all the time, and trains them in moves and formations and looks at who is playing well, who is fit and who works best with who.

And yet FIFA manager level self appointed, "expert" tacticians come on here and make grandiose statements, as if they are an acclaimed authority. Its cringeworthy to witness at times.

Particularly when people posting in here expect him to make a bejewelled silk purse out of a sows ear
For what it’s worth, I believe Frank to be many many many levels above me when it comes to football management. Not even in the same universe. But I wouldn’t put myself up against him for comparison, I’d put other top league managers up instead. So any criticism I have of him isn’t from a place of “I’d do better”, but from a place of “another manager could do better”.

As it is, I’m not expecting him to make a silk purse out of a sows ear. We have a squad full of pussies, who won’t step up and even get basics right. But they are good enough to be playing better than they are. And that is on Frank.

Remember, the last guy in the chair won a European trophy, with a rarely fit back five and no +£100m on Kudus, Simons, Palhinha, RKM. And we hounded him the fuck out the door and pour scorn on him at every opportunity. He made a lot of the shite he had to work with. Frank presently isn’t. I’m sure there are a number of managers who would do better. To be clear, I wouldn’t.

Good grief :ange-facepalm2:

This fan base is cooked
Why were do you expect us to finish with a bunch of inconsistent tossers, an injury list as long as a novel, and team that needs to be completely gutted?

That finished 17th, losing 22games, and lucked out on winning the EL, facing some of the poorest teams in Europe... And beating the shittiest ManU team in PL history, and even then we still couldn't string more than two passes together for the entire match. And struggled like fuck to do anything.

We was utter shit that night.

So where do you think we will finish?

Over all the years I’ve been in charge, no matter if it was when I was with my under-eights team in Frederiksværk 30 years ago to now, I want to play offensive front-footed football,” he said. “But probably also in those 30 years they could pick games from the under-eights at Frederiksværk to Brentford where it didn’t work for whatever reason.

“It didn’t work Sunday against Woolwich. The plan was to be front foot-footed. We weren’t. After Sunday I was angry, painful, hurt. [After PSG] I was irritated, but the feeling in the body was better because we really, really, really competed. There was more of the identity I want to show.”

Seriously?

This is extremely concerning. He’s an extremely reactive coach. I’ve watched plenty of his Brentford and now Spurs (after he’s had a pre season) and if he’s trying to play front foot football, he’s failing miserably, and it’s fucking worrying that he thinks what he’s coaching is “front footed”.

This is a manager thread on a football forum Mick. Are you saying it's unreasonable for people to air their views and opinions on the managers tactics and team selection .😂
What should we be discussing here. His shoe size 👞 ...or maybe his sexual preferences?
Thomas Frank's shoe size is not publicly available, as this personal detail is not listed in his professional profiles, according to Transfermarkt and Wikipedia. Information typically shared about him relates to his career as a football manager, such as his birthdate, nationality, coaching philosophy, and agent.
no shoe size 👞 ...and no sexual preferences:)

When he talks he really does make things worse for himself which is funny because 2 months ago I used to think he'd talk really well and explains himself in a clear and concise manner lol, maybe the pressure is getting to him.

I think we'll finish around 8 - 10th.

But no Spurs fan should ever consider that an excellent season.....Not now, not in the past, not ever.

The 9th richest club on the planet, paying the highest prices in Europe....and fans consider finishing 8th in their own domestic league as "excellent",.....I mean, come on....No wonder other fans laugh at us and consider us small time

On a serious note, I just had a look at his wiki page. Apparently, he's not a former professional footballer. Before moving into football coaching and management he worked in a kindergarten and was then a PE teacher.
I don't really know what to make of that.
I could see why he may struggle to earn the respect of big name players and manage big ego's though

He definitely is struggling to handle yours

It wasn't deemed acceptable, it was deemed necessary and it already looks like he's bombing out the league.
Ok so It was deemed necessary because fundamentally the team struggled.

I look at it like this, if Frank can get more wins than combined Draws and losses at the midway point of season, and get a win vs Prague hes doing a good job and would be well on course to maintain the minimum expectations of the club....thats not an unrealistic target and pretty good going considering.

All bias aside, you don't see that as a possible issue???. Really?

Very few successful, top end managers achieved their success of the back of no previous playing career. Especially in the modern game.

The only possible name that comes to mind is Mourinho but even he had playing career of sorts.

Wether you agree or not with the sentiment, if top players don't have serious professional respect for the man who's telling how to play, it doesn't bode well for the long term
