They should've got that done well early and dragged their feet. Half this sub said he was shite too and signing Xavi was seen as a masterstroke if you go back and look here. You don't just have one target per position. You have 5/6 and those players should have qualities that help your system. If that was the choice he was given, and didn't want Xavi, he should've shelved it, we may as well have bought no one. That's on him.

You think this transfer committee has a list of 5/6 players for each position that we need to upgrade? They're useless, they got tel to replace son and tel wasnt good in his loan spell.

I actually don’t know what we should do anymore.

We’re shit and that’s it.

That’s what I mean when I said earlier we are in more trouble than we realise. We have a group of players who seem to either not be good enough, don’t care or are scared of their own shadows. We have a board with no footballing experience and adding people to it with even less. We have a recruitment department which has been poor for nearly a decade and we’ve got a gooner as the chief exec.

We are really fucked.

Plus we have a fanbase which, probably rightly now, has no patience because it’s worn thin and a stadium that is toxic because we are so fed up being there watching the above.

Steal?? First known terrorist bombings of a city in history!!!

The Attack on Copenhagen in 1807 was a British bombardment that took place from 2 to 7 September during the Anglo-Dutch Wars. The British attacked the city to prevent the Danish fleet from falling into the hands of Napoleonic France. The attack, also known as the «Bombardment of Copenhagen», was one of the first terrorist bombings of a major European city, where the civilian population was the target. The bombardment led to extensive destruction, a large number of civilian casualties and the surrender of the Danish fleet.
We stopped Napoleon (with help from the coalitions) so we stopped Napoleon owning all of mainland Europe, the ends justified the means.
Just like at Mers -el-kebir.

We are ruthless bastards in wars

We spent like the fifth most on transfer fees in world football during Ange's tenure here. IIRC, it was roughly €440m. The argument that he wasn't sufficiently backed is ludicrous.
No Tio, the fact you can only see figures and not able to understand how ludicrously bad the squad state was BEFORE Ange is took over is the only ludicrous thing here I'm afraid.

Thanks to Ange in a couple of years Bergval, Gray potentially Sarr will now all count as homegrown talents. Our squad before was severely lacking in everything, and not producing young players whatsoever.

Fifth most in the world doesn't matter for much when in the crucial years before you were not investing regularly or on the right players. This is without factoring the wages we pay which are capartevly a lot lower than the equivalent "fifth highest spend"

I personally don't and wouldn't boo, but I blame nobody that does. To say they're not true Tottenham fans, given the amount they shell out for a season ticket and then tickets/travel and everything else on top is a disgrace tbh.

These fans were here before the manager and squad and will be here long after. Given the prices they pay, and the dog shit this regime serve up week after week they are perfectly entitled to boo the fuck out of everybody connected with the club. This isn't Brentford where you're just happy to be competitive, this is a club that says it wants to be at the big table, and charges accordingly. People have rightly had enough, and are perfectly entitled to be heard. Its their only opportunity.

Comments stink of a man who knows he's on borrowed time.

There’s no way our new management structure will behave so swiftly he will get at least the season IMO.

You can't say that with so much certainty.

If he loses the next 4 league games he'll be gone. It's a results business. He's only getting the season if we see some considerable improvement.

He's on thin ice now

Newcastle away
Brentford home
Forrest away
Liverpool home

Hell he could be gone after Brentford game, the irony

That's what they're there for. Jesus I know people in recruitment in the Scottish championship and they have lists of 10+ for each position, and they're part time. I'm fairly sure a group of full time professionals can muster up 5 or 6.

The Tel signing was done as soon as the loan was made. Weren't paying a £10m loan fee for a kid that was never going to make a big impact. That was sunk cost fallacy. No excusing that mess.

You know who's kicking their heels at the moment?

You know... the more I think about this, the more it'd be nailed on. 😆

How does Ange get credit for Sarr, who was at the club long before he arrived? And he won't count as HG btw, he's 23.

I don't understand how poor investment prior to Ange arriving means that he wasn't sufficiently backed. We spent a small fortune on players Ange wanted, like Maddison (always hurt), Johnson (garbage), Solanke (decent but always hurt), Vicario (good shot stopper, terrible with his feet), and Gray (£44m for potential). It's Frank who's suffering due to bad recruitment of his predecessor.

He is right about the boos, but we shouldn't let that sidetrack us from his performance which wasn't good enough.
I think the boos today were a release of frustration from dozens of these kinds of basic mistakes over the course of the last couple of seasons, coupled with the shit football and the cowardly performance in the NLD. And the disgusting home record last 12 montsh. Its been the perfect storm of shitness and people have had enough and Frank and the players need to recognise that.

I couldn't really blame the fans on this one. Normally I would say don't boo your own. But these guys have been far too comfortable and stealing a living for a while now.

Our most common pattern for playing from the back is having 3 CB and either left one (usually VdV) or right one (Porro) is going long.

Then we wait for rebound, pass somehow to Kudus, and either him or Porro makes the cross. Then deflection here and there so we get corner/throw-in.

I dont see any other patterns. Frank won't last long with such trivial concept.

There’s nothing Frank or anyone else for that matter can do with this group of players. They either don’t care or aren’t good enough. I hope he benches the big money players aside from Kudus.
