We’re going to 11th placed Newcastle on Tuesday night and no fucker is giving us a prayer.

That’s how bad things are.

The clubs an absolute fucking state at the moment, we’re booing our own keeper and the manager is sniping at the fans. We can’t buy a home win and to top it off I have to listen to that nasal voiced twat Alan dickhead Smith commentate on our games.

I miss the international breaks

Frank had no prior experience of managing a big club. He had never managed a team competing in Europe. He had won nothing. For these reasons, I was very dubious about his appointment. Bad as we were in the league, we'd just won a major European trophy. I just didn't see how Frank was an upgrade on the previous manager.

I was reassured by all the commentary here, and in commentary from proper footballing media contributors, that he was an excellent coach who would bring shape and stability where, under the previous manager, the consensus was that there was no proper coaching.

I'm afraid the Emperor has no clothes. From my, admittedly uneducated, perspective we are worse now than we were then.

We are stuck with Frank for now because there does not seem to be a decent alternative currently on the market. He is on borrowed time though. I just don't see anything about him to suggest he is up to the job.

I have never before felt so strongly about a manager so soon into his tenure, with the exception of Nuno.

You're right, it is.

But we shouldn't have to accept 22 league defeats and a 17th place finish for a cup win either. That has clearly carried on into this season, and we won't get a cup win this year.
And there you said it, we won't get a cup this year.

The bottom 3 last season were the worse we have had. It would take a miracle for them to have any chance to survive. We weren't in much danger of relegation at all. Then the chance of winning something so major since 40 years have passed was within grasp. And we only had a ravage squad to push for one.

Given the chance to choose again, it will always be the opportunity to win a cup.

Starting to look that way.

He'll absolutely park the bus on Tuesday and hope for a set piece.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's a scrappy game which Newcastle win 1 or 2 nil
We’ll get physically bullied, Joelinton will absolutely ravage us whilst Porro gets done time and time again by the pace of their attack.

Richy will look like a competition winner whilst Kudus and Muani are triple marked out of the game.

As everyone knows I thought Ange was a fraud and a clown.

But, and I can't believe I am saying this, Frank seems to be even worse.

The reason I say this is because, at least Ange finished 5th in his first season, and despite the season tailing off and the second half being shit, and how open and naive we were, we still had spells of playing really good attacking football and he did have those first 10 games when we were flying.

The other thing is, despite the second season being a shit show, and I knew that first summer that he should be sacked, he did have to make do without VDV and Romero for a fucking load of games, and even when we got turned over, like in the Brighton away game, we still played some really good football, like in the first half before we collapsed. And of course, we actually won a trophy under him.

SO I can't quite believe it really, but Frank is actually making Ange look better. It's mental.

The thing that fucked me off more than anything tonight was the start of injury time when we took a ridiculous amount of time to decide who on our side would take a fucking throw in - zero urgency from the cretins on the pitch

Franks making David Brent look like a good manager

The 22 defeats were not acceptable and Ange was sacked for it.

However it's also not acceptable when fans downplay winning that trophy. This is a club that literally wins fuck all and when we finally manage to do it the manager doesn't get the appreciation for taking us to glory in that particular competition

THe 22 defeats last season have got nothing to do with what's happening now. Liverpool won the league last season, spent 440 mill in the summer, and look what's happening to them this season.

We won the trophy; we were all delighted, almost 300 k turned up to celebrate and acclaim the achievement .

But F-ing hell how does that mitigate the nonsense that happened this evening.

Serious and genuine question.

I haven't downplayed it. It was a huge thing for the club and should've been the monkey off of its back and the excuse to really push on. It was the best night of my life as a spurs fan.

I don't agree that it has nothing to do with what we're seeing this season. The same players coasting last season are coasting this season. I believe that winning the cup in many people at the clubs minds excused the frankly disgraceful league form (mainly Ange and the players, some fans), I believe that complacency has seeped into performances this season, losing was accepted because eyes were on the bigger prize. I don't think we've really seen that much of a difference, especially more recently.

I'm not convinced that even Saddam Hussein's brother could whip this bunch of tosspots into shape - if he was still alive, which he isn't, thank God.

Frank just gives of PE teacher vibes. I'm 99% sure he walked into the changing room after losing to fucking Fulham saying "nice try lads, we'll get them next time". I don't think that works at a "big" club.

Someone like Conte/Mourinho would have obliterated these dickheads which I think is what this group needs.

Frank isn't worse than Ange, but that's hardly an achievement. Had really high hopes for him when he came on, simply because he'd give us stability, but he's shown nothing so far, with the exception of the first 3 games (PSG, Burnley, City). As I said, I'd keep him until the summer if it’s certain that Poch will come back. If not, then I'd sack him right away.

This is the Manager we need...

They can go up & down stairs these days, can't they?

We can’t score cause our forwards are impressively bad and we lose games cause our keeper decides to do something that literally my under 15 Div 2 keeper knows never to do. FFS I’m not sure whether our CB or Own Goals by the other team is our top scorer.
Frank is trying to right the wrongs of a decade of getting free download version of transfer periods.
No manager on the planet is going to come in and fix this is 6 months and you know how I know…cause we’ve had the best managers on the planet try and fail and we keep sacking them expecting things to get better. It’s like driving a 1986 pickup truck in an F1 race and thinking “gee maybe if we get a different driver he’ll be able to turn this thing into a contender.”
