As many said we were deeply affected by injuries dictating how we could play. Gray was only getting going when he then got injured. Xavi was getting used to the league. Muani had annoying problems. Even kudus carried an injury and then missed out.

The players are looking stronger, which has had a huge bearing on things. Probably a mistake to point it out, but Richy for example, is looking like he is fully fit for the first time since forever. Plus I'm not sure many have Frank's full belief.

Fullback is a concern though. Porro got a couple of heavy kicks yesterday and had to go off following the second one. Ben Davies looked understandably rusty when he came on.
Ben will be better for having had those minutes.

We do need someone else pretty soon as another FB option though, given he's likely to leave.

Don't know about all of that.

What I do think is that a 3-game unbeaten run, literally out of nowhere is as welcome as it has been surprising.

And it has seen players grow in confidence a little, which tends to go hand in hand.

The first line for all good teams, especially on their travels is to be difficult to break down, and then to see if they can grab the 3 points.

A win would be fantastic but coming away from the City ground with at least the point we arrived with is fine in my opinion. The fact a number of their players will play this evening is also in our favour.

If we are composed, avoid the mistakes, we can definitely hurt Forest.

It will be interesting to see if Frank plays/starts with Johnson, who suddenly is seemingly in the shop window.
4 days rest vs 2 days rest SHOULD be huge for us.

I don't think we lose this.

I think we are more likely to win than they are, but a draw most likely

Agree in many respects.

Frank is a stato man and will have all this in mind, so I think it will be our highest energy 11 to start with.

I will be very disappointed if we are timid in our approach and if we don't take at least a draw from the game.

you got him on speed dial?

And this is exactly what has happened. Frank has some momentum for the first time since August. The balance of the team is starting to look right. Archie Gray just looks a natural in midfield and we are finally getting a tune out of Xavi Simons. It just looks right atm. We've a tough run ahead, the next four games (forest, palace, brentford away and liverpool home) are all all winnable and losable. Nearly 50/50 games all 4 of them. I think if we were to get 7 or more from that run then it would be very impressive! Frank has momentum right now so hopefully it continues
SEVEN!!! I am expecting 10... we should be beating Brentford and Forest (2 days extra rest). Palace away always tough but United beat them and they are garbage. However, I will begrudgingly accept a point. The bin dippers are a dumpster fire and we should be destroying them.

Coming on here is like an insight on what it must be like to work in a mental hospital. These people walk among us. And are allowed to make their own decisions every day.
The mind boggles.

And noticed as a percentage now that more people expect us to win the CL than actually want Frank as a manager.
Football fans are among the most bi-polar people in the world.

Form teams last 10
United 4th.
Palace 7th
Spurs 12th.
Forest 15th
Liverpool 17th

Last 6
Palace 3rd
Forest 9th
United 10th
Liverpool 13th
Spurs 16th.

And yet United who beat Palace away are seemingly the garbage team in that group.

“My eyes” footballing knowledge knows no limits.

I really hope he’s only allowed plastic scissors at home.

I imagine most people saying they expect us to win the CL are joking.

Did Frank really say this about Solanke?

“When he is training fully, I’ll have news, I am happy to answer all these questions, but just a little bored of them."

A tad prickly.
