His budget at Burnley was almost identical to Pochettino's budget at Tottenham Hotspur

Erm no.

Pochettino signed 28 players for us with around £380m total (average £15m/player)
(doesn't include the Lo Celso fee)

Dyche signed 77 players at burnley at a total of £200m (average £5m/player)

Thomas Frank was credible at Brentford.

He replaced Dean Smith, having been part of the furniture behind him for a while, and already had a relationship with the players he was subsequently asked to manage.

He's in a different situation now.

He's taken over a shitshow; previously run by a greedy idiot, and has no relationship with the group of players he has been tasked with managing.

I'm not into being personally disrespectful about people but Frank comes across to me as a bit of a knob / geek combo.

I would imagine that most of the players, especially the younger players, regard him as such.

Thomas Frank has no credibility at Spurs.

He was asked to do an unfamiliar job, by a greedy idiot, who is no longer at the club.

He was cheap.

It's all going tits up.

Somebody needs to put Thomas Frank out of his misery.

Which begs the question why are you so desperate for Michael Carrick?

Romero will be lucky to play 30 league games over the season, is prone to errors, lapses of concentration and yellow cards.

Udogie has the same disease regarding missing games.

Gray is a utility man who excels at nothing.

Maddison is finished at Spurs. He's not here this season and by the time he comes back will be closer to 30 than 29 and recovering from a serious injury.

Spurs can currently only rely on VDV, Spence, Palhinha, Kudus and Muani to be available most of the time and achieve the same / similar level of performance in every game.

Every other player misses too many games through injury or suspension, has discipline problems, is error prone or inconsistent.

Some of them are just utter gash and should never have been signed for the club.

We need to wake up.

We have a group of mainly shit players, many of whom think they are better than they are, managed by a man who is out of his depth and comfort zone, who is being taken for a mug by several senior players.

Spurs are a disaster.

A rudderless ship.
I feel your pain but you simply cant blow up a team especially when you keep extending the contracts of players who simply don't deserve it. How many of our players could we ship for more than we paid? New players cost big money which we simply don't have. The 100m injected by ENIC was to shore up our cash flow and there is no money for transfers this Jan unless we sell. And I'm going to take issue with Palhinha. He is dog muck.

My concerns about Frank, when his name was associated with replacing the previous manager, were that he had no pedigree, had never managed a big club, had never won anything, had never managed a team in Europe, and was not, to my mind, an upgrade.

Once he was in, I read all the commentary about his coaching skills and wrote here, more than once, that we should back him, that the board should back him in providing financial support to build his own squad, and that we should stop the merry go round of sacking a manager every two years.

What I didn't factor in was that the talk of his excellence as a coach, and his tactical adaptability, and his knack for improving players, was all pie in the sky, wishful thinking.

He is hopelessly out of his depth. The players clearly do not rate him. He looks bewildered and lost in his interviews. He is just a square peg in a round hole and we are going nowhere but backwards under him. As much as it goes against everything I usually advocate for, I think we need to be shot of him as soon as possible.

He need to change something, show some guts.

Dropping Vicario should be natural move. Waking call for players that feel too comfortable, and on the other hand you can't tell its not justified.

Porro on the bench, Spence as RB and Micky on the left could be tried as well - Porro is shit these days and come on, Ben Davies still getting any PL minutes as full back in 2025?

Prolly won't help that much cause we are completely toothless in possession, our midfield is mess, and Richarlison is still there getting major minutes. But at least Frank could show he is trying something new to fight for his job, not just standard rotation.
At least your trying something. I'll give you credit for that even if I dont necessarily agree with you.

I don't buy the relegation argument as a reason to sack him. We're not very good but we'll comfortably get to 40 points under him.

No point bringing in another stop gap. We'd be better off just seeing it through with Frank and then starting fresh in the summer and aiming to get someone genuinely top quality rather than turning the season into yet another circus. I think that hurts out chances of attracting a proper manager in the summer.

My caveat being, if we do end up in a genuine relegation battle or everything gets completely toxic then the above goes out the window and we'll have no choice but to bin him.
The new bar. Lets get to 40 pts comfortably. Jesus, some of you have been scarred for life.

My biggest concerns with appointing Frank were that he had been at Brentford too long and become stuck in his ways and was just too comfortable. But mainly it was that Brentford are just a really well run club that much like Brighton can flip between managers with no real fall off. Dean Smith got the Villa gig after doing decent at Brentford and Mark Warburton went to Rangers and both bombed. The clubs and the set up are the star asset at Brentford and its why despite having lost Wissa, Mbeumo, Norgaard and appointing Keith Andrews who has no managerial experience they are carrying on much like before.
My biggest concern wss that he had done nothing to warrant an interview let alone getting the job.

He's now fallen behind Poch's first season, just.

Frank after 16 matches: 6W 4D 6L, 22 points, 25GF, 21GA, 11th, 6 points behind 4th, 14 points off top.

Poch after 16 matches: 7W 3D 6L, 24 points, 20GF, 22GA, 7th, 4 points behind 4th, 15 points off top.

We are in a genuine relegation battle now.

There are teams below us who have beaten us easily.

Forest today Fulham and Bournemouth.

We are shit and cannot afford to give this chump any more time.

He's failed the audition.

In a season where Woolwich will challenge for the title we cannot play Russian Roulette, regarding relegation, with this clown after today.

Fuck him off and lift the morale.
We're on 22 points after 16 games and are 11th in the table, 9 points above the relegation zone. We quite literally are not in a relegation battle.

We might be in one in 4-5 weeks time but we're not right now.

I think it's very possible we end up 15th or something if we stick with Frank but let's not pretend we're currently on the brink of the relegation spots.

We can say we're shit without catastrophising.

Christ mate. You’re really going fully in on this one.

We’ve hit lows I don’t think we’ve ever hit before in terms of xG. This team doesn’t create. I was pro Frank but we offer nothing creatively in far too many games.

Forest have just absolutely taken the piss out of us. I don’t want the guy sacked (pointless at this point in the season) but it’s absolutely dreadful stuff. It’s 100% worse than Poch and I would bet any amount of money we won end up fifth.

Liverpool & then Palace away is a terrifying prospect. A very legitimate chance of 0 points and sinking. Two much better teams than us with ‘pool recovering.

This is a horrific team and it amazes me any Spurs fan can see any different. The midfield quite literally cannot play any kind of football.

Yeah tbh the most concerning thing is, as far as I'm aware, we're not getting linked to any midfielders in the transfer rumours.

We could certainly use an elite left sided attacker and a LB, but by god do we need a proper midfielder. Unless we don't think we can attract a good enough CM in Jan, that's very concerning as anyone with eyes can see it's a huge problem. Surely Frank and Paratici can tell we're way off it in the centre of the park.

And if they're too concerned about blooding the youngsters they're putting the cart before the horse. I'd rather sell Sarr and bring in a proper mid than plan around one of our young CMs maybe becoming good enough.
