If Liverpool give us a pasting do you think he gets Palace / Few more games after that? January is some run of games, 8 in a month! Strewth
Even if we lose the next two which is highly likely I don't think they'll bother doing anything drastic over the holidays tbh but they will almost certainly have already reached out to a few agents like Xavis.

DECEMBER
20th Liverpool H
28th Palace A

JANUARY
01 Brentford A
04 Sunderland H
07 Bournemouth A
10 Villa H (FA Cup)
17 West Ham H
20 Dortmund H
24 Burnley A
28 Frankfurt A

FEBRUARY
01 Man City H
07 Man Utd A
10 Newcastle H
22 Woolwich H

I realise things are on a real downer at the minute, but that run of fixtures is horrible.

Major conjestion in Jan, some real tough games and some real banana skins.

Said earlier, I think Sunderland could be his last game.

Potentially:
Liverpool - completely limp dick performance
Palace - comfortable win for them
Brentford - probably get a result, but unconvincing (although could easily see a loss)
Sunderland - exactly the plucky sort of team that can come to WHL and upset us

Sunderland the first home game after that potential shitty run is where I predict the crowd goes fully against him...
If he's still here in Jan, he will likely lead us to a relegation fight.

Youre a Spurs fan, naive of you to assume too much sway on the managers front.

Remember the whole transfer committee too many cooks situation?

Ive no doubt he gets to say "need a certain position/profile" but how far that goes towards what we actually buy - Ive no idea personally

He's going to have a huge input, it's an input we could do without.

Liverpool won't give us a pasting. If they win it will be by a goal or two.

I don't think he is well suited for us. This shots outside the box both in an attacking and defending sense really annoys me. Shooting should be encouraged not restricted to tap ins inside the box. It's very bleak each match as the opposition bangs in a worldie or 2, while we are afraid to shoot. That's anti Tottenham as far as I'm concerned.

Frank doesn't help his cause by his comments, a collection of very bizarre ones you just never want to hear your manager say.

I really do think the players are being lazy as well though. They are doing the office equivalent of promising the manager that report but just watching Netflix in their office instead. The application from the players is piss poor. Nevermind if you don't like the manager... welcome to the real world.. your duty is to the club and fans, and not forgetting your personal professional pride. The fans are the ones giving their hard-earned money to watch a pile of old shite.
Even under Ange who apparently they loved we still had these awful not turning up performances. Our squad is filled with lazy, 'on his day' players and has been for years now. Can't do much when a player puts in an 8 followed by a 4, 6 then a 3. The levels need to be consistently good otherwise you achieve nothing.

Let's not forget 8 absolute stinkers..

Wolves, Fulham, Bournemouth, Bodo, Monaco, Forest, Scum and Chelsea.
The most recent one comes off the back of good team performances 3 games in a row.
How do they draw 2-2 coming back twice against Newcastle away and turn up like that against Forest? It's bewildering, but I lean more towards blaming the pampered players.
No pride at all, happy to get slapped up as long as they collect fat stacks each week. Frank totally messed up too, the subs etc. But his starting 11 was fine and what most of us would have picked based on recent performances. From the first 2 minutes it was clear the players were not interested. That seems more like the players decided nah I can't be bothered here today. The passing was disgusting and like a pub team not professionals. If you saw a plumber of the same quality you'd hardly hire them to work on your house!

It's a tricky one as we have a full week between Liverpool and Palace. After that the games come thick and fast and we've got 5 in 2 weeks.

In terms of timing, would make sense to bring in a new guy after Liverpool, but I struggle to see that game being the decider. Think the board will give him more time even if we get pasted in that one.

Have a feeling they might give Frank the next 5-6 over the congested Xmas period. If he's doing proper shit they can sack him and line up a new guy to start with a full week of training and a (relatively) soft fixture run of West Ham (H), Dortmund (H), Burnley (A). Maybe with a caretaker covering a game or two in-between if we get pasted 3 or 4 on the bounce and they have to boot Frank earlier than anticipated.

If they have any sense they will be coming up with contingency plans and putting out the feelers right now.

Agree with most of this but That arse game was in the famous 1st 10 games. We got figured out fairly quick. Also in a lot of games we had a lot of possesion and went nowhere once we were figured. Ange pressed so much players are still paying the price.
Also under no circumstances has johnson been good at getting back and defending. Ball watching, jogging back, players running off him are all his traits. Even sonny wasnt brilliant at.
Tons of individual errors under frank and ange. Ange's system led to a lot of defeats

Actually, if you look at the stats, Johnson was in the top 5 for defensive contributions for attacking players. He's a good finisher, outperforming his XG, but a below average creator. His best position is in the box waiting for service rather than providing it. It's clear to see why Frank doesn't see a use for him in his system, as he prefers to play a centre forward, with wingers providing width rather than cutting into the box.

I don't agree that Ange's system was found out. I'd say that the weakness of some of the players was exploited by other teams. Grey's inexperience and lack of physicality at CB, Dragusin's lack of pace, Davies lack of aerial ability, Vic's poor dominance of his 5 yard box, Bergvall's inexperience.

I do agree that the system led to a lot of defeats, but I am not so sure that the solution was to abandon it in favour of a defensive block. Keep playing the system, improve the players, replace those that don't improve - and you begin to build a successful squad with a system that wins titles. (Klopp's Liverpool took a while to build).

Playing mundane, safe football will win you nothing - and won't likely get you in the top 6.

We got rinsed multiple times when Dragusin, Davies and Gray weren't playing. Even with a fully fit (or close to fully fit) squad teams regularly pulled us apart. The squad played a part, for sure, but it was clear that teams were very much exploiting the system and it got worse the longer Ange was at the club.

Also genuinely curious - where's that Johnson stat from? Are we talking top 5 Spurs attacking players or in the league? He's never struck me as anything more than average defensively. Not terrible - he usually gets into position and covers but lacks aggression and intensity. And sometimes can be a bit casual and lazy off the ball.

When did we get rinsed when Vic, Porro, Romero, VDV and Udogie played?
