I can't believe we had to wait to see what would happen before it happened.

So predictable.

I've never been so certain that Spurs would lose and Ekitike would score against us.

This is what will happen:
1) Frank gets sacked
2) New manager bump, fans are ecstastic - It was Franks fault all along
3) Our pathetic squad of donkeys revert back to status quo - fickle fans: Sack the manager

Keyboard warriors? Have you seen our stats and our win / loss record? We are fucking shocking. I can't believe how low the bar is nowadays that some fans are lauding that performance. It was fucking shit.

That was the worst Liverpool performance at Spurs I have seen in probably 30+ years and we still lost and couldn't really lay a glove on them. On top of that you can't just ignore the lack of discipline and brain farts, they were a part of the performance. It was awful. What did we even create with 11 men on the pitch? We looked clueless.

The fans may have been in loud voice but it wasn't for Frank, it was likely a mixture of alcohol and the ref being so biased towards Liverpool that fired up the stadium.

If anything, the fact we just went for it with 9 men sums up how low we are as a club. We need to have nothing to lose to actually start to have a go. That for me suggests that the issue isn't the players, it's the system and tactics and the motivation from the manager. The players aren't bought into it, there are so many things wrong.

Just because Frank is doing really badly with this group, it doesn't mean another manager will fail.

We've hired two appalling managers in a row, for different reasons neither are good enough.

I watched Frank's post match PC, he looks a beaten man. It won't be long now. I agree he won't get sacked because we lost to Liverpool at home, the sending offs give him an excuse to hide behind, but for this week only. He won't be able to hide over the next few league games. Matt Law asked Frank about our horrendous home form and his answer was awful. He said stats don't always tell the whole story! Sorry what? 4 wins in 25 odd home games tells the full story, we are a terrible side and Frank has actually seen it get worse.

I don't see him turning it around, nothing I am seeing on the pitch suggests he will.

I didn’t laud the performance. Not once. See my match thread posts since I got back from the game. The crowd were behind him, he’s not getting sacked for losing that game. Sorry that disappoints you, but it’s a fact. Lose the next three, which is entirely possible, and then I suspect he will. But those who go to games, and I’m afraid matter a lot more than people who don’t, in terms of the temperature of fandom at the club, will on top of results, decide what happens to the manager. That’s just how it happens.

We're still the biggest overachievers in the league in terms of goals vs xG by the way. Yes, better than the team that has Haaland: One of those cheat codes that threaten to nullify the predictive power of the whole system with their uncanny ability to convert low percentage chances to goals.

Unless we actually have a few of those at our disposal, we're almost guaranteed to see a -significant- drop in our scoring output before the season ends. And we could very well be 3 points off 17th in two days as it is. If West Ham go on a shopping spree in January like I suspect and our play doesn't improve, we'll be well and truly in a relegation battle.

We don't need to sack him ASAP, but an emergency plan of an unavoidable managerial change needs to be put in place lest we become 22/23 Leicester. They thought they were too good to go down, wasted too much time with Rodgers and by the time they sacked him, the damage had already been done.

Check the XG post I made in this thread this morning. The trajectory has been going on over a year. It’s tragic.

Agreed.

Though its been this predictable for a while, particularly in our derbies. I did think we would lose by more, but I overestimated them.

Frank is at fault for quite a lot of things, but as others have said, hes been given a bad hand by his predecessors in terms of recruitment and mentality despite winning EL.

In the late 90s we had an awful team but I always felt we’d pick up enough points at home. Tight pitch, hardcore support. Our ground is easy to come to now. We’re in trouble if we don’t act with players and manager
Lost Solanke, son, Maddison and Kulu from last season

Our goal today summed Fwanks tactics and our horrendous lack of attacking flair. Literally, jumble

Wake up Tottenham.

If Thomas Frank remains; Spurs are going down.

This team cannot be trusted.

No heart and no quality.
where should we be with our squad? maddison is a huge loss, hes our best footballer no doubt about it, we look clueless without him which is why the XG is so low.

i dont think frank is the man for the job now, made too many mistakes for me, but i dont think theres many managers out there that can get this pile of shit to be a top 6 team. we need some proper recruitment in jan.

we have a squad full of dumb athletes, we lack actual footballers badly. to be honest, most of them arent even good athletes. compare our wingers to other teams, its night and day, other teams have wingers who look technically competent, and play with their heads up, we have kudus/tel/odobert/johnson LOL. that aint going to take us to top 6 is it.

Our squad is shit and Frank is not the right man. If we keep him it will entrench us further into mid table. Need a progressive manager and to actually fucking back him and build around his system. Yes that means getting rid of the 2 shittest DOFs in football in Paratici and Lange too.

Spurs will be a second half team. I think this will play out the opposite of Ange's first season and after a poor start we'll have a stronger finish. Stood toe to toe with Liverpool and didn't back down. I'm still seeing too many mental errors, but the players showed some heart today. The big question is how could a team look so bad against Forest and then come back strong a man down today?

Not really sure what we do with Frank. The results are sackable but he does have form for starting out truly dreadful in all his previous roles, I just think with us it’s started later than usual (we were ok for the first few games of the season) but I honestly struggle to see any idea of what he wants from us. I think we’ll give him the season and if we have not improvement significantly then pull the trigger in May.

I’m sure they have been looking. But I can’t think of any decent coaches who will join in January and who we can see a future with

Just gave it a thought.

He is over 50 and just got his biggest job. He spent his coaching life within the mediocre circles and no one knocked his door. Until, of course, Mr Levy and ENIC came in.

If you spend your entire career at a certain level, no one will expect more from you and retire that way. Only delusional incompetent losers would be giving him a look.

That's the type of ownership we've been suffering under all these years folks. Mediocre for-ever losers. Nothing will change in this club until ENIC and the Lewis Family are gone.
