When I first saw the replay of Xavi going into Van Dijk’s ankle right before the festive period I felt something deep in my gut.

All I saw was Frank getting sacked at the end of the month.

I didn’t laud the performance. Not once. See my match thread posts since I got back from the game. The crowd were behind him, he’s not getting sacked for losing that game. Sorry that disappoints you, but it’s a fact. Lose the next three, which is entirely possible, and then I suspect he will. But those who go to games, and I’m afraid matter a lot more than people who don’t, in terms of the temperature of fandom at the club, will on top of results, decide what happens to the manager. That’s just how it happens.
Not where I sit.
Behind the team but not Frank. Most want him gone and have no idea what he is trying to do

Don’t look like we’re going to concede every time the oppo have the ball? It’s a start.

We’ll never know until the board stick or twist but if you have three key players out and the team’s still hovering around the bottom half of a table after a manager swap, it’s probably the players.

Missing scoring goals - but three of our attack are out with long term injuries (which is not a problem Ange had for the first three months of last season).
Fair and reasonable. Fuck off with that, your on the wrong forum

In that period Ange was without Romero and Micky for a fair few games though which contributed to a lack of the only semblence of defensive solidity. He then lost his first choice keeper. And still had one more point after the same number of games.

We need to play our part in getting this cunt out the club. More or less every single one of can see he’s not the right man for us in a month of Sundays.

I hate Celtic and everything their club stands for up here. But I was at the game the other night as my team, Dundee United beat them 2-1 at Tannadice, and watched their fans harass their board for 90 minutes, and as soon as we got scored the equaliser they were chanting “Nancy get to fuck” and “Martin O’Neill” for the rest of the game.

That was the 4th game of their manager’s reign, and his 4th defeat. He’s a dead man walking there already, the fans can see that a million miles away, so what’s the point in prolonging things any further? I felt sorry for the bloke watching him walk towards the tunnel at full time looking shellshocked, but he’s the wrong guy in the wrong movie. Sound familiar?

Another point I’d like to add to that, is Celtic have won probably 90% of all trophies in Scotland in the last 15 years, 1 bad season (in which they’re still second, 6 points and a game in hand, behind the league leaders) and their fans have stormed their club’s AGM demanding answers and have hounded their chairman out of the club. Unless the Lewis family change the habit of a lifetime and start treating Tottenham like a football club rather than a cash cow very soon, then we should start ramping up the pressure on them to get to fuck as well.

Fuck me Dundee United and Spurs. You must have really pissed someone off in a previous life

Unfortunately, the supporters like the team have, become too passive and accept losing way too easily.
We get told, patience. Patience and patience. We have been patient for years, decades and still the needle on winning standards has barely moved within the club.
Even the Europa league win has stirred nothing among the board.
The new Chairman seems content to sit on his hands while the team plummets down the table.
Long as the commercial side is still ticking over all is good.
Frank has to go now, fucking useless, I can't see what he is trying to achieve here.

This is what will happen:
1) Frank gets sacked
2) New manager bump, fans are ecstastic - It was Franks fault all along
3) Our pathetic squad of donkeys revert back to status quo - fickle fans: Sack the manager
Agree 100%. If the merry go round of the last 5 years has taught us anything, is that it’s more the quality of the players than the managers. We need to x2 our wage bill if we want to get the sort of players that are challenging for trophies and top 5 regularly.

Agreed - it’s all suggesting both are struggling to get any semblance of order from this bunch. (But at least Ange didn't really care about defence so it had less of an impact, maybe?).

Both struggling for sure.

Not sure about that. Seems to me we are the only ones wanting to keep standards high. But as soon as we boo the team, basically the only thing we can do to voice an opinion, all the big babies come out at the club and in the fanbase and slag us off.

Both were struggling, no question.

But typically, Ange’s results with most or all of his main backline were statistically better. Without multiple players it just didn’t work at all, most notably Micky.

Ultimately, Perma-crock Udogie aside, Frank has had the benefit of our best defenders. Whilst we can understand a missing quartet of important players for attacking issues, he’s performing worse with our mostly available best defenders.

And he’s supposed to be better defensively.
