Right, now you get it. Exactly. I agree but that's not the question.

What we need to see from Frank or whoever is more effective use of the squad, which is coaching, setting the right mindset and picking the right players.

None are in evidence and soon Frank serms likely to be consigned to a very short part of our history.

Maybe you are missing the point.

Xavi was running around making tackles yesterday which was what got him sent off.

How do you know that Maddison would not be equally lost in Thomas Frank's tactics?

People wishing for Maddison's return are assuming he would be scoring and creating chances at the same rate he was under Ange and previously in his career.

The better attacking players Spurs do have available at the moment all look worse than they did under Ange.

The defence is also worse; statistically and anecdotally from the evidence of the eye.

More mistakes, more confusion, more shit results and performances.

Maddison, Solanke and Kulu may improve the situation.

Maybe.

In his first press conference he said the only thing he can guarantee is that we will lose games.
This looks like a major red flag the longer this experiment with Brentfords Graham Potter goes on.
Small time mentality
He even referenced with the scum invincible season. So unnecessary. The way he manages expectations is so not for a club size like ours. He spoke shit and thinks it's funny and I hate it.

Blimey.

I am talking our hypothetically best side.

Full stop.

There was context around 17th which you are choosing to ignore and are treating it like a new norm. Why not look at the season before when we finished 5th with a squad inferior to our current squad. I loathe anyone who uses last season as a reason to excuse Frank for the shit show being served up every week. Just fuck off, the lot of you... and take Frank with you.
You Angebots are beyond belief. There is no reason Spurs should EVER be anywhere near 17th, short of a meteor landing on Hotspur Way during a training session. There's no context to ever explain that shit away.

Frank is wildly underperforming and so did Ange. They're both not up to scratch.

If you are talking hypothetically here is my take.

Spurs are so shit this season; by every metric, I have reached one conclusion.

In the absence of Solanke, Maddison and Kulu, and assuming the majority of problems are regarding the front 3 and chance creation, why don't we just play two up front?

We could then put the extra man in midfield.

I'm thinking 4-4-2 with a diamond midfield.

Flat back 4 with Spence at right back.

If Porro has to play; play him on the right of the 4 man diamond midfield and instruct him and Spence to work together down the right with the sole objective of getting acurate crosses into the opposition box or shooting.

Porro is shit defensively but he does have a decent shot on him and gets accurate crosses into the box on occasion; especially when he is under little or no pressure.

Odebert and Udogie could work together on the same plan down the left.

Palhinha or Bentancur could be used at the base of the diamond, to protect / shield the back four.

Bergval or Simons at the tip of the diamond to link the midfield to the strikers.

Richy and Muani could start as two central strikers.

Did he really say that?

It's like going to the doctors and being told "the only thing I can guarantee you, you're going to die from this condition"

Thanks Thomas.

I feel better now

Palace have fuck all depth though, they are starting to struggle now with the mid week European games , I bet Glasner would love to have the kind of depth we have , granted some of our players are trash, however I was sold this vision of Frank being the kind of manager that works with what ever ingredients he has and is such a tactical genius that he can get a tune out of them , now its just "we finished 17th Last season" what can we expect from Frank.

I am trying to look at it objectively and i'm asking myself what players has he improved, what is his system here, how does he want us to play, and I'm struggling to answer any of them, I think players have actually got worse under him, look at Sarr , maybe we could say he has done well with Richie, however this is the first time Richie has stayed injury free for more than a few months!

I'm all for giving managers time, however there needs to be some signs of improvement, some green shoots showing that says he is going to work out and he just needs time, however this is looking like Nuno all over again !!!

Palace are struggling and you also wonder how they would cope if Guehi left in January. Not just a very good defender but a proper leader, as is Wharton, which is why whoever buys him gets 2 sets of qualities for the price of one purchase.

On us I need to be fair snd say I don't think any player can look good in a team that's playing badly. Those who go on about Van De Ven are excusing his mistakes.

I don't, however see anythjng that resembles a system or a set of players who are clear about what is being asked of them.

What I do see is a manager who is obviously under pressure, as any would be after a poor set of results and someone who doesn't look as though he has the tools, even if he had our full squad available to him.

I am surprised by Frank's showing to date, and I think he has 2 games to go, and if not, it's only a short stay of termination.

Im no angebot. I happen to agree. Do I think Ange is better than Frank. 100% but thats like saying Chlamydia is better than Herpes.

Ange’s first season was a fluke start built on early momentum. We kept winning at the beginning, but after Christmas the wheels came off, we got found out, and we finished on 66 points.

Next season collapsed for a mix of reasons whether injuries, players downing tools, and a focus toward the Europa. That’s how you end up with 38 points.

With Frank, I’d expect around 60 points, which is about our true level. I’ve never been in denial about the actual level of this squad.

A very simple test. How many players for Aston Villa or Crystal Palace would get into our team?

Villa: Martinez, Konsa, Tielemans, Kamara, Onana, Rogers, Watkins

Palace: Henderson, Guehi, Mitchell, Wharton, Mateta

Our squad is just mediocre. It is what it is.
The same Mateta who has the same goals as Richarlison. Who does Guehi replace... a world cup winner or VDV. Hes no better than Danso. I know youre taking the piss with Mitchell. Other than Wharton, Martinez and Rogers... none if these players improve our squad. Tielemans had one good game in every ten. Honestly, our players are not the issue. I could mold them into a better outfit than Frank has.
