But it isn't about projecting present form - the point was that from the point onwards, Postecoglou's results fall to pieces in both seasons, but were dire last season.

So it's strange for Frank to be only, what? 1 point worse off like-for-like (which would also put us in 11th this season), and for us to know that Ange's form went right down the toilet from this point onwards, and yet for the argument to be that he would be doing a better job.
That's without pointing out Ange was a season and a half deep into his 'coaching' by now.

At worst, we're exactly the same as we were last season, splitting hairs aside. The idea that we'd be playing some lovely football is also borrowed from distant memories, as we simply weren't doing that.
Sure I agree with all that, but our present form over the last 10 matches is Postecoglou second half of second season like form.

I got this horrid feeling we ain't see the last of him. The stadium is his mausoleum. ENIC own 86.58% of the club with 13.42% owned by minority shareholders. Of the 86.58%, Levy owns 29.88% so approximately 25.87% of the club is still owned by Levy. It is not beyond the realms of possibility for Levy to partner with someone like Amanda Staveley and the Qatari's to regain ownership of the club from the Lewis Trust. Much like a bad movie where you think the villain has been killed off... but at the start of sequel, he somehow survived being shot 100 times, put through a industrial cement mixer and fed to pigs.

for fucks sake stop trying to push your own lack of knowledge as a universal opinion.

Sherwood backed him, and Kane delivered. There were a lot of us backing him

You weren't on here. I've got crisp packets older than your account
No surprises there. :paraticiwink:

So since he wasn’t on TFC at that time his opinion is invalid? Sorry if some people have real friends outside the internet to talk to or browse other forums.

From the quoted comment, he’s not wrong. Nobody knows how Gray or Moore will be into given a consistent chance under the right manager.

Who doesn't like a crisp packet collection !!
It's nice to have a hobby !!

Apparently the Spurs job is a lot like the Brøndby job

:frankwtf:

All Vinai has to do is create an account on here under a pseudonym 'South Stand Online' and cunt Frank and Lange off before sacking them both... come on Vinai, you got this!!!

Why are you all trying to compare Ange and Frank in some weird competition - they are basically two cheeks of the same ass...

Both have proven to be not good enough... one will retain some sort of affection for leading us to a trophy (which weirdly wrangles with so many on here), the other one just needs to be sacked now.

Bear in mind we played 4 games in 10 days among that, which adds a bit of a handicap

(Or 16 days between the Woolwich game and the Slavia game, which is 6 games)

Maybe the club should complain to the Premier League and UEFA that it's been put at a disadvantage compared to it's rivals. Oh no I forgot West Ham ,Burnely ,and Wolves aren't playing in Europe this season.

😆

We can consider Pavlidis from Benfica as a striker. He had 15 goals and 3 assists in 16 appearances so far. I know that the Portugal league is not PL but he also scores in international games including the 2 goals against England in Wembley's 1-2.
It appears that he is on 35 mil €. He is relatively tall (1.86) has both legs, he is clinical but can be spectacular at times.

No, not having an account and telling us that we didn't rate Kane back then is invalid. It's also lazy as fuck because there's nearly 20 years worth of history you can find via the Search button.

I'm assuming by your logic you stopping having friends in Dec 2020?

I mean for the most part, it starts off with stupid opinions like from candrews of "We should just apologise to Ange and get him back" or other Postecoglou simps trying to suggest he should have been kept.

For the most part though, the real point is that you don't just "reset" a team every season like some american draft system. The performance of this team needs to be considered relative to the team that it is. You don't take a team that finished 17th with 22 league defeats and magically expect it to be winning the title the next season - the 'progress' has to be measured against that

In the end, if he finishes this season in the bottom half it would be considered a failed season. Sack would be inevitable...

Well even that seems to be an improvement on some of our players right now... Has Frank confirmed recently that Solanke still has both of his? :(

EDIT: Btw, WTF does that have to do with the Thomas Frank thread? Shouldn't it be in the winter transfer thread? Well, after it's been proof-read and corrected I mean (I doubt that player is on €35m, whatever that even means...) 😉
