But he's working with a squad that, 90% of them, have been told it's ok to lose to those teams. A whole season of 22 losses means that we walked away with a loss in almost 2 out of 3 games.

Not only that, but at the end of that, they got a trophy and a parade.

You don't fix that kind of mentality issue so easily. You also risk condoning their mindset by getting rid of a manager so swiftly, too.

IMHO he needs to just start dropping or selling poor performers and making that point, but I can see how that's currently an issue with Bissouma already in the freezer and 3 key injuries in our midfield/attack
I applaud your continuing efforts to defend Frank but, for me, you are blinded to his timid mediocrity by your visceral dislike of the previous manager.

I don't have a 'visceral dislike of the previous manager'. It's actually very simple.

We've just finished with a manager who lost 39 games in 2 seasons (101 games). 38% loss rate
Redknapp lost 50 in 198 games. 25% loss rate
Pochettino lost 72 in 293 game. 24.5% loss rate
Sherwood lost 10 in 28 games. 35% loss rate
Christian Gross lost 12 in 30 games. 40% loss rate

We had 2 years of a manager who lost very near to the level of our mid-to-late 90s shitfest

The only people who are 'blinded' are the ones failing to grasp the normality of losing a game of football for this squad over 2 full seasons. You don't just magically undo that in half a season

Spoke to a Palace fan today and he mentioned how we just parked the bus yesterday , couldn’t really argue with him but it shows how far we have fallen , I know we won however I feel like Frank feels he is still
Managing Brentford!
If we are feeling this as fans, what must the players be feeling?

Your regular commentary on him begs to differ.

No, there are some people who act like he's peak Mourinho.

It is very, very, easy to just talk in straight facts about Postecoglou and it be deemed like some kind of "hate", because the facts are absolutely damning of his ability.

His stint at forest did nothing but put it in bold, size 72 font

The season before though we finished 5th under the same shit manager , do you honestly think this squad of players is a bottom half team?

Do you honestly not?

22 games lost last season, finishing 17th, and in the bottom half, after half a season, this time around.

Why would anyone think otherwise?

I watched Forest and Leeds over the weekend.

They both played better football than Spurs and are currently below us.

Vicario and Porro are very poor and so are a few others in the current starting 11.

Kane and Son carried this team and wasted their careers doing so.

Squad is full of wasters and we are now managed by a bottom half manager.

I knew Frank would come good.
Going to the Champions of the FA Cup and beating them in their own back yard yesterday is proof of that.

New contract. Give him everything he wants.

And owned by success dodgers.

I don’t know. It’s fucking Brentford. How is the expectations comparable to Manchester United or Tottenham?
You could have said the same about Villa though , recently promoted yet got a good manager in and they are in the top 3, yet we are meant to think that Frank is some master tactical genius as he kept Brentford firmly mid table.
Even Glasner , come to palace and won the FA cup and Charity shield , yet Brentford under Frank won fuck all.

Genuine question, but did we? I watch most matches through my fingers these days, but I didn't notice us parked in our half, except when we lost the ball (a lot) and had to cover. It didn't seem like the plan, just a response.

Villa have shown what, a good manager can achieve with not the best squad of players.

What Villa have is a group of players who give consistent levels of performance.

Cash and McGinn are not pleasing to the eye but they are reliable, always available and always give everything they have.

Spurs have Porro and Bissouma in the same position.

It's who we are.
I do wonder sometimes, with the training ground being so state of the art etc.
Many of the players are too comfortable, they are there to work. Yet it looks like a holiday complex.
There are too many going through the motions including the board.
