No, it's 30 because Richalison has 2 more than last season. It was all there in the post.

It's actually more embarrassing to bring up goal numbers from leagues like Serie A and Bundesliga, where Kane has more goals than games, and where players like Lookman and Moise Kean suddenly look prolific.

the Ange part at the bottom doesn't even make any sense.
I knew this would be your response... I even posted somewhere else you would belittle Serie A and Bundesliga as farmers leagues... you are nothing if not predictable...

The 213 were Kane's Spurs PL goals. But I will try and dumb it down just for you. Did you have any sympathy towards Ange that he was missing Kane's 30 goals in his first season? No, I didn't think so... then why the sympathy towards Frank??? Let me guess your next response... Ange has gone, he lost 22 games, we finished 17th, we fluked the Europa... Frank is the messiah blah blah blah

But it isn't. It's very simple:

  • We have a deficit of nearly 30 goals per season missing - even compared to a shit 17th place season - with Solanke, Kulusevski, and Maddison injured, and Son gone. That's not even including assists.
  • Tel and Richarlison are already out-performing their stats for last season
  • RKM, Simons, and Kudus are effectively being relied upon to bridge 30 goals between them. RKM is absolutely turd and isn't even matching Tel's contributions, and Simons is a huge disappoinment, however...
  • For those players to actually replace Maddison, Solanke, Son and Kulusevski - just for last seasons numbers alone, and not a great season by all means, they'd have to have the best seasons of their career.

As of last night we were missing:
  • Sarr (AFCON)
  • Bergvall (Knock)
  • Solanke (injured)
  • Maddison (injured)
  • Udogie (injured)
  • Kulusevski (injured)
  • Bissouma (nobber)
  • Simons (suspended)
That's excluding missing Son, who has not been replaced directly in the squad.

How is that just something you can brush off as being 'not a factor'? It's 8 players, swapping Son for Simons, that would have all been in a fully-fit match day squad last season, and even against bournemouth away last season (when Kinsky, Davies and Grey kept a clean sheet) you had Son, Kulusevski, Bissouma, Sarr, and Bergvall in the match day squad.
This is an excuse. We set up to draw the game. We barely had a shot on target. Once again favouring crossing to anything else attacking.

It’s really not a way forward that is compatible with what most of us would expect.

I think the next 4 matches will help clear up any debates.

H - Sunderland
A - Bournemouth
H - West Ham
A - Burnley

All winnable. Really should win 3.

After that run, the next 4 are both Manchester's, Newcastle and Woolwich, fortunately 3 at home.

If we can't get 9 or 10 points out of the next 4 matches, then Europe becomes a longshot. With how boring Frank's style is, no Europe should mean we replace Frank.

You have to earn the right to continue.

It’s been months. We should see patterns of play emerging. Tactics being implemented. However what we see is a continuing decline in our ability to play football. Lowest amount of through balls, no shots from distance, barely a shot on target as the man in charge is so obsessed with stats he only wants us to cross. Flip that round, and we continually conceded from range as statistically those shots are less likely to go in. However all of that understanding misses the actual context of football.

We then get the pleasure of being told we will lose games and that’s ok. Small time manager, focussed on the wrong things, with a squad and fan base who clearly do not believe in him. He needs to go ASAP.
8 posts in 13 years, you're doing well. I agree with your post though.

Europe!!!! God forbid.

I wouldn't predict fcuk all and will wait to see.

Way too much presumption about points haul from games.

We just took 4 somehow. Most or many of us expected 0 or 1.

Sometimes you just have to make a decision. Frank has been atrocious, not so much the points but the utter garbage he is overseeing.

Not the ends but the means.

Did I say anything about Kane?

Frank does not have the same players available that were available last season
Did Ange have the same players available last season from the previous season? Yes.

Simple.

It's a really dumb straw man you're putting together there

Just when I thought I wouldn’t be going to the Sunderland game , he’s dragged me back in .

Thomas Frank on what fans can expect to see vs Sunderland:

“I think reality is it will not be perfect, but can we see good glimpses of more offensive attacking threat and get the win, that would be a step forward.”
shut up and take my money GIF

If feels like those fixtures are laughing at me….

i was away on a little trip with my then girlfriend and we had an argument and she was being grumpy not speaking to me and i was really struggling to stifle my emotions every time we scored. by the fifth goal she left and went to lunch by herself. we were broken up a month later.. i blame harry kane and his bitch john terry

Oh well, at least you had 10 years of nothing but highs with your True Love of Choice Tottenham Hotspur FC :cautious: :D

TBH having just watched the press conference I don’t think anything was said to get knickers in a twist about.

If anything he seems to have identified exactly what needs addressing. He paused significantly when asked about the style of play - I think his answer was very measured! 😂

Let’s hope he gets the tools to accomplish that.
"I showed those 25 clips to the players today. All that can be adjusted. Of course, football is a game of mistakes. You lose the ball, so that can happen because of bad decision, bad touch or concentration.

"So, that's the one level we need to do. And the next bit is the patterns and the structure and getting in the right positions. We didn't get that right last night. I showed that again to the players today. That is my responsibility together with the coaches.

"And then the third thing. I think it's also okay to mention that we still lack some very important offensive players. It's been out for a while. I don't want to mention it again.

"It's unfortunately very boring. But that's the fact. We need to do everything we can to put an attacking, intense, front-foot performance out against Sunderland in two days' time. I'll do everything I can to make sure we do that. And if we do that and get three points, it's seven from three, which is very good."

Am I going mad or can he not count? If, and it’s a big if, we beat Sunderland, it’s 5 from three, right?

I feel like I keep saying this but a few wins on the trot will improve the feeling around here no end. Wins with clean sheets will be green shoots.

Can you not count ? 😂

Palace (3), Brentford (1) + Sunderland (potential 3) = 7.

I know people are down on him but his maths is still correct.

Mate, i know IT was boring fest and for own sake you probably already forgot about that game but we won at CP 1:0 . Win against Sunderland and IT will be 7 point week.

The issue is sustainability. You can’t sustain that points haul over any period of time if you are playing like we are.

I imagine the quality of football isn’t far from impacting revenue which is shamefully the point at which the board will act. You can’t sell tickets to see us playing like the away team looking for a draw at home.

Btw my wife watched 4 Spurs games with me at home during all those years.

Final in Madrid, final in Bilbao, and then games against CP and Brentford.

She says she will be next to me also when we will play against Sunderland. One could say its Frank magic. But deeply inside i think she feels sorry for me.
