The promise of Frank and his coaching staff was that they would improve players and develop smart plans on a game by game basis.

Looking at Brentford this season it's quite clear we've bought in a bum, zero improvement from any players.
In fact regression of our young players like bergvall and odobert

Correct, and indisputable.
Many were hailing the quality of the window, and whilst I have my own doubts on 1 or 2 of that quartet, a large number of PL teans would have also welcomed them.
And it's for the manager to get them to click and to get the best out of them.
Think lucking out on Harry Kane is an understatement.
Spurs that season were like AVB with and without Bale.
I'd be happy for him to see out the season in readiness for the return of the Poch. Maybe not the player bit so much.
And get some quality first team upgrades in January to give him a fighting chance
The fans were so desperate for signings we celebrated anyone coming in. But look at that list ask yourself if anyone but kudos was plan A.
I had reservations over 3/4, but the fact is they are all established international players who have cut their teeth in the game.

This is what I don’t get. Bergvall strength is his ability to hold the ball under pressure and carry/pass the ball from deep forward. He is an 8, Bergvall is not yet a 10, I don’t get this experiment. Maybe I am missing something.
Palhinha was definitely Plan A. He’s about as Frank a player as you can get.
Plan A’s rarely happen for us, but you have to have quality alternatives anyway.
Profiling is so much more important than names.
You should have a list of 3-4 players who have the qualities you are looking for, don’t get fixated on a single player.
If you looked at the tables and fired every manager of every team that isn't meeting fan expectations, there would hardly be anyone left. This idea that people would accept losing if it was entertaining is just not true. They wouldn't and they didn't with Postecoglou. We've got a manager whose teams at Brentford put the ball into the net and still do after he left. So, we're not scoring because he's holding the team back? We're not scoring because there isn't enough depth to overcome the injuries and because, just maybe, because there is no attacking midfielder.
Have a look at page 1 of the RKM thread and see how wrong some of the cheerleaders were about it.
Club should know better, but I can only imagine it was Paratici's odd eye for "talent" in play there. His signings are all very 'Football Manager'
Its remarkable what he did to them. He frightens me because outside of football men exactly like him are burning the world down. They are manifestly flawed but the sugar rush of being of the tribe utterly blinds weak people. Ive seen us win a European trophy before and win it well which I guess provided some protection but there's a generation of fans ( loads from North America) who after Bilboa really made me cringe, "Ange you made me dream" just utter overkill for low blocking the worse United team in history .
I look at Spurs now and I can't get past the fact its actually Poch deserves the obsession more because its his work Harry Kane and Son Hueng Min, that have kept us out this mire for 11 years. They made us more than Villa and Forest and Leeds and now Sunderland could ever be it's just been them. And theres no one of this calibre currently left no one.

You’re not missing anything. Frank just wants his central midfielders to be big screeners and nothing else. Same reason he was playing Sarr as a 10 too
