Its remarkable what he did to them. He frightens me because outside of football men exactly like him are burning the world down. They are manifestly flawed but the sugar rush of being of the tribe utterly blinds weak people. Ive seen us win a European trophy before and win it well which I guess provided some protection but there's a generation of fans ( loads from North America) who after Bilboa really made me cringe, "Ange you made me dream" just utter overkill for low blocking the worse United team in history .

I look at Spurs now and I can't get past the fact its actually Poch deserves the obsession more because its his work Harry Kane and Son Hueng Min, that have kept us out this mire for 11 years. They made us more than Villa and Forest and Leeds and now Sunderland could ever be it's just been them. And theres no one of this calibre currently left no one.
I’d bring Poch back at this point.

We’ve got a lot of young talent on the books who need development within a structured attacking ethos.

Players of Kane and Son’s ilk are fare more likely to spring up again from that environment rather than this path of mediocrity that Frank has us on.

I think postbox made a good point asking what is a peak Frank team.

I replied it’s Woolwich. Lots of set piece domination, out of possession control. It’s brutalism. And that is assuming we invest massively and invest well.

He's not going anywhere until end of season sure he isn't?! Might as well accept the season is over and no European football next year.
This fucking club, until the Lewis family fuck off we can't even dare to dream never mind dare to do

I really do feel for young players. A proper manager would change the path of a young man's career. The like of Bergvall, Gray, academy players, even Tel and Odobert would greatly benefit from a manager who understands a player's skill set and knows how to handle them mentally. This guy seems to not have the time (no the knowledge mind you) to utilize player's skill (at all levels). He managed mediocre team with mediocre players at a club where owners, fans, and squad were happy to see themselves playing in EPL no matter what the results week-in-week out. They just turn up and enjoy a nice weekend afternoon against EPL big boys. As long as they are not in the bottom 3, that'll do it.
Now you are asking a lifetime donkey to be a thoroughbred. Good Luck.

A lifetime donkey managing young wolf pups or lion cubs. What do you expect the results? :smh:

It’s not football for us and we don’t need to be a knockoff copy.

In the same way Pochettino got the better of Wenger by playing football that was largely an antidote to what Wenger was doing, we should be aiming to be the antidote to Arteta, because football consistently evolves.

Being 5 and a half years behind him is already putting us behind the development curve.

I don't think it's as good as that lot are at present, because that presumes that managers and coaching staff add no value.

With the same investment and quality of players, I think we would still be lagging behind, if closer.

Whoever the next head coach is, I've said it before and I'll say it again...I'm friggin praying he comes in with two absolute tough bastards as part of his staff. Think Roy Keane, Tony Pulis, Vinne Jones, Joe Jordan, Pepe, Sergio Ramos...two fellas who are gonna put the fear of God into those sack of shite we call our players. The jeffe can focus on the style, the two nutters will have the substance sorted in no time.

I just changed my vote to out.

Half the season is over and I don't see the benefit of a full Frank season anymore.
It’s like the whole club players manager just keeps us ticking over. There is no entertainment in any of this. I never was that bored as a fan in the last 20 years.
If there was a skip Button for this season I had pushed it a few weeks ago 🙄

The promise of Frank and his coaching staff was that they would improve players and develop smart plans on a game by game basis.

We’re not seeing either.
THIS is it. I wasn't one who wanted Frank but gave it a chance because the likes of Alistar Goldie looking chain, went big on the coaching set up underpinning all the progress at Brentford. Really have to stop listening to anything he says. Which players are they improving and why can't we see any progress.

It's scary af.

Because Simons was crap at the time!

When he was showing signs he’d adapted he was moved centrally.

If Simons was available today he’d have been used in the 10.
That’s not true. Simons was playing crap precisely because Frank was scared to play him centrally. Then he compounded it by playing the right footed Spence behind him...

Then he dropped him and continued with Bergvall/Sarr in the 10 and Kolo Muani on the left

Either play him where we saw him play well for Leipzig or not at all.

Frank just doesn’t have the balls nor the foresight and it’s shocking that any Spurs fan would defend such obvious mediocrity.

Were you hampered by having a lack of like-for-like substitutions in the second half?

I think it was that we lacked a little extra freshness. I looked at some teams last night. They just put three players on like for like, and then they run away with the win. A club we can't speak about, but that's probably also a little bit in it. So let me put it that way. That would have helped us. It's not the same that we couldn't have scored a 2-0 for the first 17 minutes.

Please just fuck off, Frank. Go admire the scum club we can't speak about. 2nd time you talked about them. We are so toast also because of you fucking coward small time manager. And now you are blaming our players once more.

And the follow up point - would you be happy with that?

There’s a reason non of them are in management

Poch’s double sessions and running over hot coals will do. Jesus , Miki and Toni will do.

Unless there is a replacement no need to rush him out but he isn’t a Spurs manager.

We have scouts and data analytics and time and time again we hire managers like Jose, Nuno, AVB, Frank. Managers totally unsuited to Tottenham.

Why are our people so thick???????????????

Anyone on this board knows defensive managers don’t work at this club and time and time again we try. Like we have no learning curve. These are basic errors I would not expect posters on this forum to make but our board and our scouts are supposed to be experts in their field.

That's how every season end up these days, with the exception of the Europa League campaign last year. You stop caring about Spurs because we're so shit and won't achieve anything and the only thing you care about remotely is City stopping Woolwich from winning the league. Incredibly depressing.
