That’s not true. Simons was playing crap precisely because Frank was scared to play him centrally. Then he compounded it by playing the right footed Spence behind him...

Then he dropped him and continued with Bergvall/Sarr in the 10 and Kolo Muani on the left

Either play him where we saw him play well for Leipzig or not at all.

Frank just doesn’t have the balls nor the foresight and it’s shocking that any Spurs fan would defend such obvious mediocrity.
That’s not true! Did you actually watch any of the games?!

He was out of his depth both physically and speed wise getting bundled over and not reacting quickly enough.

It was obvious he was playing on the wing because he just wasn’t up to it in the middle needing time to adapt. It’s hardly surprising Frank persevered with him out there because he was a big money signing and our only potential creative outlet.

When he looked more capable he was moved centrally.

Ok,
Which performance can you pinpoint that he played on the left that showed he had “adapted”?

How the fuck is that even possible? I honestly do not get it.

We played a GOOD first half. Crowd was behind the players. All was going well.
And then after HT we just walk out of the tunnel and just fucking surrender?

AT HOME? AGAINST SUNDERLAND? THAT IS MISSING 6 PLAYERS AWAY AT AFCON?!?

I know I sound like a broken record, but I do not see any accountability in the current squad. Romero can cause opposition to score 2 goals in every other game. Vicario can fuck up roughly as often. Yet they are still 100% guaranteed to start if they are only available. Where are we going like this?!? I see no other way than this season will finish in bottom half of the table in all honesty.

We had kept clean sheets in back to back EPL games with win and draw. Just go on - win this one too. Next up is Bournemouth that is going through really tough spell. Next from that? Wet Spam that got demolished by Wolves. But no. Lets invite Sunderland back into the game and totally destroy every momentum.

Honestly, if we were 13th but running the gauntlet of developing young players with attacking football like we saw in the first half, I’d have no complaints with Frank.

His attitude to the second half and his sub choices are why I have no time left for him. His mentality isn’t Spurs and even on his most Spurs day like the first half, he’d to scared to do it for 90 mins.

Sub Gray who is stretching Sunderland and pressing to cause high turnovers and bring a Palinha who just gives the ball back to Sunderland?

Sub Tel instead of Richy when Tel has been your biggest threat and Richy absolutely knackered and offering zero threat?

Wait til 80min for Spence?

Do you retain every single individual player performance and analytics in your head?!

I can’t recall the minutiae of what I was doing myself last week let alone catalogue every individual Spurs players actions game by game!

:mourshock:

It’s been a steady improvement with Simons but he’s still far away from the player we expected.

Not just Frank their personal glee clubs ( Argentine/Italian Nationalists) in the fan base will be telling us they are too good for Spurs and that every mistake they made was Pape Sarrs fault even though he's at the AFCON. Zero accountability

I'm sure Frank will get the season. The Club is in a right mess and it's the consequences of continuous poor decision making off the pitch in terms of player recruitment and appointing managers.

There's no quick fix. I'd sack Frank tonight because I know he's not a good fit for the Club long term despite the mediocre squad at his disposal.

But there's unlikely to be anybody available where it would be worth the risk so he's here for the season.

I'm thoroughly underwhelmed by the state of the Club and it's footballing vision and ambition.

The season is dead on January 4th. Fucking hell.

Just waiting for next season now and as we all now it's the hope that kills you

Sounds to me like you are trying to make up vague arguments to defend Frank. He’s crap and that’s ok.

Nope I’m just saying it as I see it.

The performances at the moment are awful, but I’d like to see what happens with better players before he’s jettisoned.

Re-read the match thread comments when the team sheet landed, yet that seems to be instantly ignored when we see another crap performance and it’s all on Frank.

Frank may not be the answer, but he’s got two arms tied behind his back with the state of this squad.

This is what I was petrified of.

Ange definitely deserved the sack but I was terrified of who Levy would get to replace him.
And you were right to be....

scary movie scream GIF

Feels like the club is close to regressing to what it was in the mid 90's - early 2000s.
Between 1996 - 2004 (for those old enough to remember) we never finished higher than 9th and finished 14th, 12th and 11th a few times.

Not sure how the club avoids becoming that again based on the playing squad and current manager.
We need big changes to avoid a similar period of mediocrity.

That’s the thing though, nobody is claiming it’s a complete squad, but a good coach should give us something to hang our hat on.

Where’s the green shoots of progress through his methods, his principles?

Where is he showing that he have a trustworthy vision of how to develop the squad?

Has he even looked at the academy to shake things up, even in the short term?

Pochettino year 1 had some real dross and even some mistakes in his first 2 windows; Chiriches, Fazio, Stambouli, Paulinho etc etc.
- did He twiddle his fingers and play the same guys week after week?

Frank’s too cowardly in his approach and we have too many young players that we’ve planned for for him to ruin.

What he’s done with Bergvall is atrocious.

I’ve had a nap and now I’ve woken up I’m even more angry.
He’s a windy bastard. Defending one leads against promoted teams is dogshite.
I think poch beat every single promoted team we played except one time wolves beat us.
I wanted Ange gone just after Christmas last year. I was the right decision but no fi king way would he have not gone for the throat when we were 1 up today.
