You can keep repeating that as much as you want but, I'm sorry, it is total bollocks. He is a cowardly manager who, today, against a team bereft of over half their first choice side, had his team shut up shop to protect a 1-0 lead at half time. This is a pattern. It is all on him. To Dare Is To Do my arse.

What with all the attacking players at his disposal in the squad
No Problem Thumbs Up GIF

Jesus Christ, we were leading. We had played reasonably well in that first half. The manager decided the team should shut up shop. We handed them the second half, and the chance to get back into the game because of the instructions given by the manager. If you cannot see that for the self evident fact that it is, there is no point in having a conversation with you.

Two sources have told me that following a meeting last month between VL and VV, the process for identifying managerial candidates and creating a short list is under way. One of them said that Rafi Moersen is also involved though that would be odd given he hasn't officially started working for us. Then again, Scott Munn was very (too?) much involved in the decision process that led to Ange being hired, despite SM not officially working for us until 3 months after Ange was hired, so I suppose there is a precedent. The other source said that the Academy Director (Simon Davies --- not the one who played for us) has been providing his input into the process.

If the above is correct (and I have no idea whether it is or isn't), it's highly surprising to me that RM and SD were stated as being involved, but neither source mentioned FP or JL taking part. Perhaps, and this is entirely speculation on my part not info from a Gnome, they expect FP to be gone and/or JL is being held accountable for the TF hire. It's hard to see how internal strife at the club would increase the likelihood of them making a better (more Spurs-compatible?) managerial decision this time around.

Dont think we'll get anything at an improving Bournemouth and it sort of feels inevitable we'll lose to Villa in the cup. Don"t think he'll survive that. Probably will be deserved but my god we really need to clear out these players or we'll only get a modest uptick at best.

The booing aimed at Frank is truly shocking, we've been shit for the last season and a half but the person we want to put this all on is a new manager 6 months in?!

Sack him then start booing a new manager as soon as he is through the door. Yeah because any decent manager is gonna wanna come here aren't they.

I get the frustration but seriously some fans need to give their heads a wobble.

It is significantly more of a case of playing squad rather than manager

Imagine Liverpool without 3 of their attacking starters. They'd lose at least the 7 points difference between us and them. Any of the clubs inbetween us.

And add to that all the other injuries and suspensions elsewhere on the pitch.

There's just a lack of context being made here.

And, we're still 3 points better off that this point last season. There's no evidence that a different manager would actually be doing better, other than to pretend to be by attacking and dropping points in style, which still is of no benefit
Hhhm that’s just not really true though.

Perhaps an argument could be made for Maddison as he may add something different, but Kudus is a better player than Kulusevski and Solanke is absolutely bang average.

We’re not missing prime Eriksen, Kane and Son the way some would have you think.
Messers Solanke Maddison and Kulusevski all played big roles in us finishing 17th last season, they are far from the saviours we need.

Nah, it’s been 6 months and there’s nothing to hold onto, nothing… it hasn’t worked, you can see what they’re told to do! It’s awful! Pass around the back, chip it long, long throws and set pieces! No intricate passing or triangles, no one drives forward.. it’s all so so boring!

Let’s get rid of him and bring in Iraola and watch him have the same problems with this group of players. They’re shite. The manager might not be up to it but I’m one million percent sure these players aren’t either.

Well bring someone else in and watch them be as bad.

It's been shit for 18 months!!!

We lost at home to Leicester City last season, the rot set in a long time ago!!!

Frank has alot to prove but this isn't all on him.

The players are gash mate agreed. And im not one for chopping and changing managers. But Frank is not getting the best out of this mediocre bunch so while I dont know if id get rid or not, I can understand fans wanting to.

I agree it has been, but we can’t get rid of all the players.. I’d love to see some big names dropped for some of our youth now our season is floundering. But frank wont be that guy, I don’t know who is the one to come in and at least try to implement attacking football! This is so bad to watch, cowardly!

Agree. Richarlison, Kolo-Muani, Vicario, Bentancur, Tel, Palhinha possibly Odobert and a fair few others including our illustrious captain really need to be shifted. Until that happens we'll be going round in circles after a new manager bounce. Sick of them.

Iraola has a system to play, coaches players intensely and worked with what he inherited at Bournemouth brilliantly (players young and old)

While there is no argument out squad has issues, 100% Iraola would be doing vastly better than Frank with the same group

It's not just at Frank though is it? It's at the hierarchy....it's the no wins at home nearly all year, charging sky high prices...and now dull football on top of it all.

The fans have a right to show their frustration come the final whistle.

But he isn't going to drop all those big players because you can't play a youth team in this league.

There isn't a manager who could come in and change this group of players, the squad needs serious investment. I think the defence is okay... but the attack is diabolical.

I know this is different scenarios but Frank had EIGHT years at Brentford with less resource. You can't expect him to come in and change every single thing within the club in one transfer window surely?!

Sack him for the next flavour of the month? Most fans were happy with his appt in the summer after seeing what he had done with Brentford.

He's not become a bad manager overnight. He needs time.
