Thomas Frank on Spurs sitting back at home to Sunderland:

“The first half was by far better than the second and even in the first half, it was not like we had 65 per cent (possession) or whatever. Sometimes it's not only about the possession. You like to dominate, but they went man-to-man, so there was a lot of open spaces to run into. For me, that's more the critical areas that we didn't manage to punish (them) from this game.
Second half, I felt we dropped off in our drop-off runs to open up and keep the ball. I think also, it’s not like we won five games in a row and everything is just free and smooth. So, when you're up 1-0 and you really badly want to win, that can be a little bit, maybe a little bit nervy. One thing is our name and our fantastic history, another reality is where we are right now.”

Genuinely can’t stand him anymore
Yeah he's a right twat.

Pretty sure Lange/Frank will be like Munn/Postecoglou.

Yep. I'd be amazed if Lange clings on to his job when Frank gets sacked.

Not only have we got FP still here, and I really hope he wins the power struggle, but Lange and Frank are close, so no way Lange surives. He will have to carry the can for his incompetence.

I will say this on Lange, I don't know how much damage or good he has done at the club, but what I will say is the majority of our signings under his watch have been a disaster, and he has presided over the worst Spurs period in performances and results in decades as well as a terrible managerial appointment.

He has to go.

I actually get really frustrated listening to / reading his comments

Its word salad, and take a while to even work out what he might be saying

Reminds me of the guy at work that speaks in buzzwords, not content, just noise

Do we even know how much Lange had to do with Frank coming in?

Or, even, how much of anything hes had to do with anything? Not trying to be flippant, its just he seems like such a non-entity

He may have been integral to everything, or he may not have even been in the room...

Me, where have I said I support Frank?

I have said to you several times, I'm not one way or the other, as the guy has not had a window, and has a squad full of shit.

What part of this is supporting Frank?

Why do you persist on lying about other posters post?

The fact you have to lie about what people say, just goes to show how utterly clueless and toxic you are.
Oh Jesus, that's quite the turnaround for you haha

Never supported Frank either? Wow.

Well, thanks for a good laugh this morning.

That's one of the funniest yet. After all the insults you've hurled at me to them claim you never supported him. You're good craic, I'll give you that.

Show me one instance of you saying you were on the fence to me.

He talks as much bollocks as Starmer and Trump combined.

He’s as big of an issue as Frank right now, both need to go.
If I was a 🇩🇰 supporting Spurs fan, I’d be even more ashamed of them, representing our club.

The bit he neglects, is that "where we are right now" is in large part down to him!

A pre season, half a season, and we play like shit under him - plenty of time to be building something

Earlier

Solanke making progress, but after 6 months out is rusty

We've appealled Romeros charge so hes available

Udogie back in training

We are shit, bournemouth are great

Some fans comparing this to last season.

Just having a look and typing this live, so I may be wrong about what I'm about to say, but - game 11 - 20 of 23/24
23/24
P10 L5 W4 D1
13 points. 1.3ppg

25/26
P10 L5 W2 D4
10 points. 1ppg

Mitigating factors for both. We know VDV and Maddison got injured for Ange in game 10.
But Maddison, Kulusevski and Solanke have all been out all season for Frank.

We conceded 17 goals in Ange's 2nd 10 games
We conceded 17 goals in Franks last 10 games.

Nobody (but me and a handful of others) were frothing at the mouth at how bad Ange was after those outlying first 10 games.
But it seems the fanbase is unanimously frothing at the mouth against Frank now.

Lange would have had a huge influence on Frank coming in. Both Danish, worked together before, Lange's positions naturally means he would have an influence from a footballing perspective on who we hire as manager. Vinai and the Lewis's aren't going to be making manager hires based on anything other than the technical guidance from Lange, who was the Technical Director.

They would rely on Lange to make recommendations. Now what we don't know is how much influence Paratici had on the Frank hire. But considering FP is essentially involved in a power struggle, in talks with Fiorentina (but still hasn't left), and Matt Law who has excellent sources at the club, essentially suggested / raised the theory that FP was using the Fiorentina links to win a power struggle against Frank / Lange, I would say it's quite likely FP thinks Frank and Lange should both leave.

Paratici riddle

Reports emerged from Italy over the weekend that Tottenham’s co-sporting director Fabio Paratici was in talks over taking a job as director of football at Italian club Fiorentina. Paratici and Spurs have not commented on the link and the Italian was present at Tottenham’s defeat by Liverpool, with Spurs insisting they had received no direct approach from Fiorentina.
Paratici was only formally reappointed by Spurs in October, having worked as a contracted consultant for the club during his ban from football. He was re-hired as a co-sporting director with Johan Lange and some sources believe the link to Fiorentina could essentially be an attempted Spurs power-grab by Paratici that would involve Lange being sidelined or even heading for the exit. That is unsubstantiated and it remains to be seen whether Paratici is on his way out, Lange is being frozen out or both men will stay in their co-sporting director roles. Whatever happens will have an impact on Frank and Tottenham’s transfer business.

Trix on SC today said that

Given that I thought FP was out the door, that’s interesting.
Press jumped the gun(wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't Fab who tipped them off though). There were talks with Fiorentina, however the club wants him to stay but that is going to come at a cost if he does. Lange and Frank would be happier if he left, but we really need him to come out on top as far as this power struggle is concerned imo..........

The fact that FP is still here, also lends credence to the fact that this power struggle is still going on.

Occams Razor when you look at everything going on, does indicate that we have Lange and Frank on one side, FP on the other.

Let's hope with every poor performance and loss/draw, Frank's and Lange's positions are weakened.

I would find it really concerning if FP leaves and our club is left in the hands of the two gimps Lange and Frank. We'll be fucked for years.
