Slightly more insane than the constant cries for Poch who, despite having the best team of a generation, won nothing. Then went elsewhere to do nothing since.
Man for Man I would say we had the best starting 11 in the league , the only thing was the squad was shit, we had no quality in depth at all, i still think it was criminal for Poch to not win anything however if he had the kind of quality in Depth that Arteta has now , he would have won it all!

Still I'm not saying thats a reason we should go back for him, although i'd take him over TF but thats not really saying much......

Maybe - but their keeper made an excellent save last night so we should have been walking it. Our keeper made no saves. We have two options when assessing last night's game
  1. Vicario should have kept at least one of their goals out (apparently you should expect him to save any)
  2. Petrovic should have not saved at least VDV's header (one which you shouldn't expect him to have saved)
More so, comparing the team we put out and the form they are in, it's crazy to think that some people would take Iraola.

None of this is a "pro-Frank" comment, or a defence of Frank - I think everyone can agree it was one of our best performances, which might not be saying much, but he still outdid Iraola.

We had:
  • More possession
  • More shot, and more on target
  • More passes, and higher pass completion %
  • More xG

I'm not necessarily seeing a team that is overall dropping points justifiably - I'm seeing a team that is conceding goals from nothing, if not manufacturing conceding goals, that is not getting the rub of the green with referees, and that has fine margins between it being 2-0 up or 1-0 down.

Something clearly isn't working, whether or not it's player ability, dressing room/attitude issues, or lacking the killer touch that Deki, Maddison and Solanke have.

Again, this isn't me saying Frank is good or should stay, but the margins between us winning and losing have been so fine recently in terms of the actual football. I'm not seeing the absolute batterings that we had under late Conte/Stellini or last season where we were clining on for dear life and only scoring off counter attacks.

What I would reiterate is how I'm totally not seeing why people would want Iraola
I don’t want Iriola. Don’t find him that impressive to be honest. Frank in a different jacket.

And we did play better at times last night. Still got beaten by fucking shitey wee Bournemouth though. Who hadn’t won a match in weeks.

We then turn up with our “you can shoot from anywhere you like” policy and it’s another defeat.

We aren’t achieving anything here. Just needs to come to an end.

It's reached that stage when things get so bad, all I can do is laugh.

This image of Frank with his Woolwich cup is Alan Partridge-esque. If I could be arsed I would put a speech bubble on it saying ''aha''.

And it looks as though he had a haircut just for this photo

Changed vote to out now.

It isn't all his fault, once again our recruitment has been awful (30 man shortlist! ) and we've signed an unsuitable manager. Was swayed by the tactical genius thing at first but it's worn off and he has been exposed.
I don't like his style or methods, I don't enjoy any of his pressers or interviews, and I don't like the cowardly way we play.
We could be playing a girl guides under 10s team and he'd wax lyrical about their tough defense and dangerous in transition players.
At least Ange gave no fucks who we played, I want a bit more of that attitude back please. We concentrate on OUR strengths and impose them on the opposition.

The players don't respect him.

That has been clear for many weeks, literally on public display.

That can never work. He won't earn their respect whilst the players down tools. He needs to have earned their respect in his roles before joining Spurs, and that's on those that appointed him.

Nuno had the same problem. Clearly the players, especially Kane, didn't respect him.

Like them or not, players respected Mourinho and Conte.

If it were me I'd cut the head off that cabal by benching them ( Romero and VdV). Put Davies and Arche in there. Not like they'd do any worse. In a World Cup year. F 'em.

Sure, I don't disagree. We seem to have fixed the set piece issue, the stupid high line issue, and a few other things, but we still have a dopey defence.

It isn't a "you said you want Iraola", but a general musing that whilst Frank isn't getting results here, people who think that Iraola or Postecoglou would be better are living in cloud cuckoo land.

I don't think we need a better tactician - that won't count for shit. We needed a pragmatist, which has improved things, but he's not got the personality or bottle to do what is required here.

That is:
  • Tell whoever needs to know that RKM is no longer in the squad. Whether we cancel the loan or he just sits around is not important to us as a football team.
  • Pick a better captain
  • Drop underperformers regardless of their status
  • Play the young players who will give a shit. That's the minimum fans need to see and what they need to see right now
  • At least pretend to understand the club and its fans, even if it isn't coming from above

Ironically, we probably need Mourinho or Sherwood back - the kind of person who will drop the highest paid player or captain without batting an eyelid. Weird to put them together, but they both did that

I understand your point but I wouldn't take Poch now. Sure, it would give me and most of us a boost. We'd like to think he'd work his magic again but ultimately I don't think he could get us where we need to be.

I loved Poch but I always remind myself of the last year or so under him. We played some awful stuff. He deserved to be sacked when he did (albeit we can debate for days how he would have done if he was backed properly).

We need a proper start. We can't keep looking back. If it is the manager that is gonna carry the can for how shit we are currently, then we need someone new. Someone dynamic. Someone fearless.

The players will screw someone like that over. Only works if he has their full support, and that of the board and I mean that literally, not just saying it before they sack him.

If I were in Franks position yeah. Like Poch did with Kaboul etc, but Frank shouldn't be in this position in the first place.

The crazy thing is he has a lot of below average players with little experience that don't respect him. It's not like it's a bunch of Galactico's. You've got Richarlison having tantrums being subbed off whilst stinking the place out. A young, seemingly good boy like Micky snubbing him walking off the pitch. Spence who blagged a couple of caps and now thinks of himself as one of the all time fullback greats. The whole thing is a shambles.
