The job of un-fucking what was royally fucked good and proper for 2 years, isn't ever going to be a short term fix whoever's tasked with it.

Don't worry...he's going nowhere...ENIC clearly has no ambition...as long as the profits exceed the losses, they'll hang on to the tea serious owners, he'd have been gone already...I have no doubt he'll here until the end of the season and probably start next season...I am inured to this scenario...it's the only way I can cope...
Reckon he’s the Matt Wells / Ryan Mason replacement in more ways than one.
More likely he’s part of the next coaching staff than he gets paid off imo.
He was Slott’s assistant last season and has managerial experience. Does someone like that just come in as Thomas Frank’s defensive coach?
Hes perfect for an interim role until a new man is hired.
"We aren't far off"...relegationI dont really agree. At least, I think in the short term many teams get a new manager and a pretty instant improvement.
Might be a longer term thing to get to the end point - but progress can be made very quickly
Frank has, so far, been the opposite of progress. He seems to be in the process of actively fucking us right now.
Amazing he said to Gallagher we "arent far off", suggests he likes what he sees and we are doing the things he wants...
Every now and then I get something right.
If Frank doesn’t manage to save himself, I’m willing to bet this guy will be kept on as the interim until we decide what to do.
Yea there's some good points in there alright. He's obviously a highly rated coach, as was Matt Wells, so it's a very positive appointment and potentially could give us an interim if / when we get rid of Frank.Or…
1. He’s not Franks man.
2. He was the Ajax interim head coach for half a season,
3. Has been first assistant in high level clubs, including in the PL.
There’s actually a decent chance he might be continuity planning if Frank goes.
A former Ajax school of football coach would fit much better with our incoming City Football Group DOF operations
I disagree totally, I watch us and the problems aren't new at all, to me that shows not that he's creating problems, he's just not solving the ones that were there.I dont really agree. At least, I think in the short term many teams get a new manager and a pretty instant improvement.

And the season before that he was head assistant for the team that curb stomped their way to a PL title.A huge success at Ajax I see.

Ajax to sack manager John Heitinga less than six months after Liverpool exit
Ajax have sacked manager John Heitinga after 15 matches and less than six months after he joined the club from Liverpool.www.bbc.co.uk
If you dont know a thing about football, Frank could gaslight you (as he tries to gaslight us)
But sooner or later you just have your head buried in the sand if you cant see things arent actually improving
And you also have the crowd as a barometer - something Vinai didnt have through Artetas rough patch
Lose or disappoint against West Ham, and it will be impossible to ignore
If the fans have turned and we're basically giving tickets away free with packets of wheaty flakes because no one wants to go to matches then they can make all the plans they want. Not sure what makes people so certain that he has no chance of getting another season.
Think of:
Some players might [continue to] sulk, like Kane did with Nuno; but then none of these guys are so good that you can seriously consider sacking the manager just to appease.
- How expensive of a hire he was relative to his standing in the game: 10M to Brentford + whatever him and his staff are getting paid. Call it sunk cost and therefore irrelevant to the final decision all you like; we all know this is not how it works in reality
- Vinai and his experience with Arteta that we keep getting leaks about
- That 17th place finish that Frank keeps referring to: Under a quite narrow definition of the term success that places the emphasis on gradual improvement, Frank finishing this season let's say 12th would constitute success. Or at least wouldn't constitute [massive] failure that would make his sacking unavoidable
- Frank being a so called spreadsheet manager. This is used in a pejorative manner; but it could very well work to his advantage in terms of allowing him to talk a good game with numbers and graphs to instill confidence in the board that he knows what he's doing
Unless the board have already started planning on Operation Pochettino like people keep alluding to here, I can't see a more probable outcome than them continuing to roll the dice with Frank and hoping that time alone magically fixes things.
Maybe he's here in case Frank gets sacked and the club wants an interim manager, I think so.There’s actually a decent chance he might be continuity planning if Frank goes.

Yes, let's hope his speciality is as an assistant , he has only been a coach at 1st team level since 2023 before that it was u21's and younger. And the season before that he was head assistant for the team that curb stomped their way to a PL title.
Some coaches are just better suited to being assistant than head coach.
