I don’t think we deserved to lose against Bournemouth, WHam or Burnley and probably deserved to win all three.

There were some personnel and tactical tweaks today and I actually thought we did some decent things today, offensively,

Two CM’s who whilst neither being spunkbrwad at least aren’t plodding hot potato wankers, fb’s as wb’s. Simons, Odobert and Solanke working hard and reasonably well as a three.

We had a bad 15 minutes after ht, but first half and last 30 we played pretty well. Dominated the ball, pressed pretty well (low ppda) doubled their xg despite playing against a block.

The goals we conceded were fucking so sloppy from individuals, mostly Romero who could have also given away a pen.

What does this mean? Fuck knows. I didn’t want Frank and still don’t. I’ve never seen anything in Franks oeuvre to suggest there’s an elite coach or tactician there, or one I’d enjoy watching, maybe there is but I’ve just never seen it. I just don’t think everything I’ve seen last few games is dog shit either, given squad/injuries.

I’d still give him till the end of the season unless someone really highly rated, who plays an evidenced progressive brand of football is happy to take over mid shit season with us in this state of squad shitflux.

Agree we deserved to beat Burnley. But the subs in the second half were too late and it cost us. His lineup was wrong too. Tel on the left instead of Spence and we might be 3 up at HT. Porro rested for Spence at RB and he probably doesn’t switch off for their first goal.

And it’s all the same root cause. Frank is reactive and cautious with a squad better suited to chaos and trying to assert themselves on the game.

The pieces are certainly moving into place to make things look that way.

It feels like whatever the club do next about the manager situation will be a big risk. if it is Heitinga who takes over from Frank when he's sacked, there's no reason to think he'll be any better, except that he's been a professional footballer himself and may find it easier to relate to the players.

They’ve pushed themselves into this corner by not reacting earlier, that’s the problem. In reality he should have gone the other side of Christmas. As I said a week ago, doing nothing is still doing something. By not grasping the nettle on the managerial decision early doors they fucked it. Top 4 was well in our grasp back then with the fixture list and transfer window ahead of us. Now, they’ve well and truly fucked it. I would still make a change, Frank ain’t going to do it now.

He has more points than Postecoglou last season at this point. But we are still diabolical, second season in a row.

Its madness how standards have dropped here. Being out of top10 for more than week or two should result in immediate sacking.

Yet here we are.
He has 3 more points. Ange had no Micky or Romero from November to February.

MW 25 last season Ange had 30 points.

Let’s do this again after we’ve played City and United.

They could bin him, blame Levy and come away with a clean rep & fresh start............

They choose not to.

The idea that they flat out don't care is flawed...... Relegation would knock 100's of million off the value of the club. They'd care about that.

I reckon their true desire is to sell; thus wanna fork out as little as poss in the meantime and are prepared to gamble on survival.

It’s possible they are even in negotiations now. Newcastle kept Bruce on all while they were getting taken over and then the Saudis brought in their new man in Howe. If Staverley is back and can bid again next month then maybe that is what is going on behind the scenes?

I suspect it isn’t though and it’s ineptitude but I’m just trying to dream up some positivity!

And he has his attackers out, and CL not EL and so on and do on... And after MW 28 prolly Frank would again have more points...

Point is we are still shit 2nd season in a row and he should be sacked immediately, and same should have happened with Postecoglou last year in January.

And for some weird reasons those frauds at the board are redundant to pull the trigger.

Maddison and Deki change absolutely nothing here.

Solanke is now fit. Still shit.

After MW 28 this year we wil have had to play City, United, Newcastle, Woolwich, Palace and then Fulham I think.

With Liverpool and Forest after. Which of those do we win?

He should be sacked before we find out - he should have been gone already so the interim or new guy had the January run to settle.

I've been Frank IN until today when it became clear that we are being dragged into a relegation battle. I don't believe that would have happened under Ange Postecoglou - even though I agreed (and still agree) he had to be sacked. His record with a fit Back 5 was Top 5. We've had that Back 5 most of this season.

Either way that's not the point - the promise the Derangers made while bullying anyone who supported the last manager was that the next manager would have us "flying up the table". Some of us warned this was unlikely given the state of our squad.

Some of us were right. The bullies and abusers were wrong. They still are yet to admit that. Or apologise. Or show any sort of recognition that their entire belief system has been utterly shown as completely fraudulent.

So forgive me if I take their chunterings with a massive fucking grain of salt.

You have to ignore first season with fit team or whatever. It’s what Ange did with us in this league most recently and what he did with Forest that is a better guide. It’s more recent. The league had totally worked him out

I’m Frank out. And I’m Ange Keep Out

Pretty much sums up how i feel about it. We were definately the better side in all 3 of those games. I watched yestersays match on sky sports game of the day at 8.30 knowing the result which took the emotion out of it and meant i could just watch how we played. That 15 minute spell aside we played well. Atrocious defending for both goals though and that is a big worry because its those moments that are killing us. Romero was woeful for the second one. Shot out of the line to try and make a tackle and then just stood watching. If he'd have turned and got back in he would have been able to challenge the player that ended up scoring. The main positives for me are Simmons is starting to really pull the strings and Solanke being back who i think makes a difference for us. All that said i do think they will pull the trigger on Frank unless we somehow get results from this awful run of games we have coming up. All I can see is Heitinga being put in temporary charge. Which is equally worrying.

why didn't Tel play give Odbert a rest, not saying Tel is great but he is still here and Frank needs to keep him on his side, because sooner or later Frank WILL need him to Play ( same as Biss) we may not like it,Frank may not like it, but you see it t most clubs at some point a player thats been pushed to one side by the manager is needed ( due to injury, bookings etc)

Then i can say VdV and Romero would change nothing for Ange. We were shit even when they came back.

One win in matches you listed and after MW 28 Frank is again with more points. And i am sure somehow he would get result in one of those matches (prolly when his job would depend on result of particular match).

But yeah, agree we should not try to find it out, just get rid of him.

If was up to me, the Chelsea game is where I would have pulled the plug.

Showing no intent at home to fierce rivals was simply unacceptable.

With his first choice back 5 even with kamikaze ball Ange’s team was top half.

When Micky and Romero were fit for the run in they were rotated in league games.

We won the Europa without Deki and Madders who weren’t available from around April.

I was Ange out, but trust me, I think this is much worse.

New athletic piece. As with all the media stuff, pretty damning on Frank

Until the media starts openly criticizing the board, no action will be taken, Vinai apparently believes one size fits all, what worked before is the only formula. And between him and Lange thats their guy.
Frank is comfortable with things because this is the part of the table he’s accustomed to, we most likely won’t get relegated and in the meantime pick up a couple favorable results and end up somewhere around 10-12. He hasn’t made that step up. This is par for the course at Brentford under him out of both cups and a comfortable cushion above the drop zone nestled in the bottom half of the table.

Last comment of the day is…

If this is what the Data tells you to employ, then fuck the Data 📈

All objective data says we should have sacked Frank ages ago

I've no idea WTF they're even looking at

I don't think replacing a bad manager with a worse one proves that point to be honest mate

IMO, he is playing a back three to accommodate Danso, for reasons unknown.

It just doesn't work.

Not saying a back four solves all of our problems, but a fully fit back four was a top four team under Ange, so he may be tinkering with the wrong things.

I think it's his anything but Tel policy

And if it means he gets more defenders on the pitch even better
