As I said, not a fan but it doesn't excuse the state of the squad
Remember when Richard Arlison said 'Frank has been backed more than any coach we ever had was in their first 2 windows'
Good times

Based on today's deadline day performance I think I'll put Frank below Lange on the need to get rid priority list.

I refuse to believe a better manager wouldn't have us higher up the league.
Yes the squad building has been poor but the players are better than we're seeing.
Yes the board never support our managers properly.
Yes we have injuries.
None of it excuses the performances.
Once we're mathematically safe and out of the Champions League, I want him gone and the plan for next season getting implemented.
The trouble is we're so inept at board level, they'll get to the end of the season before even thinking about decisions for next season.
Yup.There can be many truths at once
The board have screwed Frank (well, the club really)
The injuries will impact the options Frank has
Frank is still failing
Yup.
Frank is clearly not up to what the fans are expecting of a Tottenham manager (yet).
But he is far from the biggest issue at the club. The big issues are further up the pecking order.
Had to look on page 2 today.
He's falling down the punch bag pecking order.
I think he is completely out of his depth
And I think he might be the luckiest manager out there
No matter how shit he performs, events conspire to just buy him another day...
I don't think it has anything to do with luck.
They are basically refusing to pay him off and pay an interim.
All to save money.
We're in a death loop.
Probably not shit enough to go down, (this season) , but going backwards at an ever increasing pace.
The demand for tickets will be non existent by the summer unless serious investment is made in the team.
I always felt that Levy and ENIC built the training facilities for that to provide players for the team in the long term.
Our expectations are on the floor now.
Those who renew this season, or take up the offer of a season ticket, will not be expecting anything really.
I think ENIC are staying and will roll the dice with young players we have signed and through the academy.
If players are sold for big money we may buy a few with the money from the sales.
I think Connor Gallagher level signings, sprinkled with a few from the academy, is the direction of travel.
They will get away with it too.
There is no appetite for protest.
I think the majority of Spurs supporters, who would have protested until ENIC fucked off, have already given up attending regularly.
The majority of the matchday crowd now are very passive and probably began attending when the Levydome opened or just before.
ENIC know their CRN's by now.
Fair play to them.
They've done a great job of selling jam tomorrow for a quarter of a century.
We are in the ham tomorrow phase of the project now.
Sugar free ENIC gruel.
I mean lucky like
- Has us playing absolute shite, but conveniently has teams just not show up to play in the CL
- Has us playing absolute shite, but the players show a little something for 20 minutes to take the edge off for him
- Has us playing absolute shite, but the board say "hold my beer" and draw all attention from him...
He was lucky to get the Spurs manager's job but his luck ran out after that.
I expect he is a multi millionaire already, and will get another job soon enough (not at £8,00,000 pa mind you) so I doubt he needs the pay off
Agreed. I think Keith Andrews has made an absolutel mockery of Frank and more or less destroyed his reputation (in conjunction with Franks performance here)Keith Andrews, doing a better job than Frank, without the best players Frank had at his disposal, has shown the Premier League how good Thomas Frank actually is.
Thomas Frank and Graham Potter are the ugly face of what has happened to Premier League football in recent seasons.
These people are getting opportunities, they probably don't deserve, because of the closed shop approach to managerial recruitment in the Premier League.
The belief in these people is based on luck rather than their judgement.
