I wouldnt be surprised if Vinai pushes to keep Frank for next season, dependent on our results.

I'm only basing this opinion around the fact that Vinai kept Legoman in the job at Woolwich.

Obviously, if results and performances dont improve drastically, then Frank definitely has to be sacked, but the board have shown themselves to be so inept, that i wouldnt be shocked if Frank gets another season, albeit very unlikely.

All these mentions of Frank being Vinai's guy is scary. Another businessman inserting himself into football operations is why this club continues to suffer.

I think most could see the sense in selling Brennan for a decent fee. Right up until he wasn’t replaced. I know hindsight is wonderful and if we had known Kudus was going to get injured things might have been different but it seems there was plenty of time to do something and yet, nothing.

Baffling
i'd rather play the kids than johnson. getting a fee for him and off the books was a good thing. we definitely could use another attacker but i don't see it as a johnson replacement. for me he was pretty useless as a player

So the US his current employers would be happy with that? No he will 100% be concentrating on the World cup. In any case he won nothing last time with a much better team than Ange or Frank.
I've said it before...if we want Poch, we'll be talking to him prior to the World Cup.

Whether they'd announce it or not, there would be meetings prior to the tournament to make sure everyone is on the same page (yeah, I know?!)

This thing of big, bad US Soccer would be miffed is overplayed. What they gonna do about it?

Apparently Paratici has claimed Fiorentina have "serious owners"

Frank asked what he thought of that in the prezzer today

"I haven't seen the [comments]. Don't know them. I back Fabio. That's probably the truth."

Were this to happen - and Im not saying it wont in a behind closed doors sort of way - but were this to happen what do you suppose Poch could actually do before the WC?

Even if a deal is agreed, until he works with the players, takes time to review the squad etc - he cant really have any real input in anything

And at that point he's going to be 100% involved with team USA - pre tournament preparations, the inevitable 100s hours of press, the tournament itself...

The main reason I do not want him back is he won nothing, playing weak teams in cup competitions and just chasing the top 4 non trophy. Kane was our leading goal scorer and by far our best player but left to win trophies. However he was not our leading goal scorer in the F A cup because he rarely started in the early rounds where we were sometimes embarrassingly knocked out. Whilst I want to see us qualify for Europe every season, I do not want to see us sacrifice Cup competitions. We have not won the F A Cup since 1991. I would not expect to see us win it under Poch.

Assume we'll have a bigger squad to work from now that just a super strong starting 11 - providing they're all fit :D

You think our squad is better than when Poch was here? We might have more depth if they were fit but not the star winners needed to win trophies like Son & Kane. It was almost criminal that the Poch team did not win anything.

Starting 11 nowhere near, squad yes.

We were brining on players like Nkoudou and Jansen off the bench.

People forget the final year when we were poor despite somehow getting to the CL final. All those press conferences when he indicated he was not happy and hinted he might leave. We need someone new.

Maybe/maybe not

Think there's arguments for and against Poch, more for though.

Final year was poor but I reckon he was mentally checked out by then, who knows what would have happened if he had a bit more backing.

If a 'poor' year is considered top 4 and getting to a CL final then sign me up :D
