i'd rather play the kids than johnson. getting a fee for him and off the books was a good thing. we definitely could use another attacker but i don't see it as a johnson replacement. for me he was pretty useless as a player
I am with you I think but he was our top scorer last season.

Anyway, it was a good deal and I’m not against it, just unfortunate timing in the end.

Not replacing Johnson's goals wthh a player considered able to supply a similar amount was a disgrace, and showed up flaws in whatever model is being applied in terms of ins and outs, and fans were right to be very upset about that.

Yeah... Let's ignore the fuck all else 99% of the time, so much so you could call him shit.

100% glad he's gone. Actually got some decent money for him.

I like to think I am a big picture kind of person, so I see Johnson's sale (without a replacement on the assumption of necessary goals), in negative overall terms.

Johnson, as a proven scorer of goals would always command a decent fee. Always.

Just like the Europa final and numerous goals last season.

I'm not here to argue for Johnson to have been retained as opposed to how we would not buy an attacking replacement.
Maybe because long term, Frank is out and maybe waiting on his replacement.

But our squad is bloated anyway, and odobert is doing an okay job on the right, band is improving. Kudus will come back soon, we got tell on the left, Muani too iff need be...

Replacing Johnson, in all honesty, really wasn't needed.

He just confirmed what many of us have said long before, he isn't respected, he has lost part of the dressing room and some of the 2nd half revival plays we have seen were down to the players more than him.

Don't know why he's still here honestly. We were lucky in our CL group stage matches with final two games against the farmer's league, and we haven't won in the league from the last 5, or 6 or 7 games. He's the reason the 2-2 draw against Citeh seems to be so celebrated because he brought the Brentford mentality to us.

Christ why does he say such stupid things? Before he came to Spurs I thought he was a clever bloke but he just talks crap.

Good heavens. How many Spurs players like the "disgraceful" post?

At least the cuntbag media are finally starting to do their jobs and ask him some real questions.
