Frank:

"As long as everyone does their job, then it is fair enough. I am pretty sure there are also some players who don’t think I am the best bloke or whatever it is, but as long as they work hard and do everything they can on the pitch then I am happy," he said.

:frankfacepalm: :frankwtf:

This isn’t a smart thing to say when the team is underperforming so badly.

In isolation, I’m completely fine with it from a coaching mentality. His job isn’t to be liked, he’s not there to be their friend, he’s essentially their boss.

But… it’s not the best timing to say it when he’s not been getting the best out of them all season and he’s not earned the political capital to fully be the boss at the club yet.

Normally I would agree with you, this time I think he is probably staying, it will be too late for poch with WC .
Lots of question marks over Vinai and the board but I guarantee you they aren't dumb enough to give a guy that finishes 17th in the league another season. That would mean zero upturn in form from now on and him limping over the line to an awful finish.

Hell, we didn't even give the guy that won a European trophy another season after he finished 17th - Frank will be politely kicked to the curb the second the season's over if that's where we end up.

As for Poch, managers join clubs fairly often after coaching in the World Cup. Conte joined Chelsea after managing Italy in a tournament. Plus Poch isn't the only manager that exists - we'd certainly find a viable replacement for Frank.

The only way Frank survives imo is if we have a really strong run-in, start playing some decent football and get into Europe (or very narrowly miss out). He'd need to get us to at least 8th or so I'd say, and even that might not be enough.

These bastards speak one language - money.

They are having to cut pricing of season tickets and exec boxes for next season which will probably impact their revenue by c.5%, plus another 15% drop based on no Europe.

These will see him and shitband collection of ex Brentford bluffers sacked without doubt

Sooner the better; the horrible looking, gaslighting, imposter

Yup - it was the same with Levy. Gotta be at least competing for the money from the European places or showing signs of growth potential to get there or the manager gets the boot. Ange only survived cos of the Europa run and the injuries.

If Frank's shown no signs of improvement over an entire year there's no chance they'll entrust this much money to him for another season when he's finished 17th.

Yeah it's yet another PR own-goal. What he said is absolutely fine and true of any manager in world football: the job isn't to be liked and there will always be players that hate or dislike the manager, but you just don't say stuff like that out loud when you're in the shit and there are rumours about player dissent.

A more likeable, charismatic or successful manager could make a joke out of it, or get away with it, but from Frank it's yet another talking point that will no doubt draw headlines, be a talking point on podcasts, blah blah blah. He doesn't help himself and hasn't adapted well to the media scrutiny of managing a bigger club.

He's perfectly fine playing the role of the affable, floppy haired, inoffensive bloke at Brentford who only has 2 journos at every presser. He'd do his occasional Tactical Masterclass vids and Lineker interviews and everyone thought he was great cos he didn't speak like most football managers and seemed a genuinely nice guy. But under real media scrutiny at Spurs he's come across really poorly, lacks self awareness and simply doesn't seem to know how to play the game.

Unfortunately, that’s the vibe he gives.

This is my point about someone like Xavi. A character that big doesn’t even need to comment about players liking him or not. Same thing with the Romero posts on socials. If Xavi Hernandez is your manager and he’s asked you once to be careful with the translations and wording of your social media posts, you’d best believe every word is getting double checked.

I don’t really see a problem with what Frank actually said as long as he’s getting results and performances but he’s not.

Don’t think I’ve ever hated a manager as much as this guy.

Inspires zero confidence, charisma of a cum bubble, zero personality, no discernible leadership skills, tactics are utter wank and gives off serious cuck vibes.

Imagine playing for this wet wipe. My fear is that ENIC love having a spineless worm as their manager who will bend over and take it.

Doesn't even need to be Xavi, at this point anyone with a big of gravitas is an upgrade.

He's at the point where he's just talking way too much to try to justify everything, he's managed to give away his formation in a throw away line yesterday......just shut the fuck up Thomas

Unfortunately, he can’t just shut the fuck up. Hes contracted to give these appearances

If he just gives shitty, 2 word answers, he’ll lose the media protection that’s helped him keep his job…

Christ why does he say such stupid things? Before he came to Spurs I thought he was a clever bloke but he just talks crap.

Good heavens. How many Spurs players like the "disgraceful" post?

At least the cuntbag media are finally starting to do their jobs and ask him some real questions.

Maybe this is just because I am also Scandinavian but to me these quotes are a big nothing burger.

This is just how we talk in northern Europe. We're blunt.

Yes would agree with that i think.

At this point, we have to get Poch back just to prove one way or another that he's "the one"
Levy is gone. Can't use that.
His entire squad is gone. Can't blame them.
Bring him back.
Spend a fuck tone of money.
See what happens.
