Romero would be better served doing his job better as captain, and giving stronger consideration about how he chooses to make any points on the squad.

I think various points have been made and Romero is playing somewhat to the audience and deflecting from himself.

Yeah if he was doing a better job he might have scored a couple of late headers to save us points. He needs to lead with more than his defending, a real leader like Calvin Bassey would have probably even scored a bicycle kick by now. And all this complaining about playing with flu because we don’t have available players…what’s all that about?

That's simply unacceptable.

You can make a point without such language, surely.

But he can also make the point WITH such language. 2 for the price of 1. Win win situation

Compromise Shrug GIF

Fearful Frank just needs to get enough points on the board for us this season, and hopefully he and his paymasters can sit down, and be honest enough to say that it hasn't been as all had hoped.

I think we are closer to the point now of knowing the kind of character we need to manage the club, if not the style of play they will oversee.

As stated yesterday, there is no way the manager, CEO, Lange and Romero will all be at the club at the start of next season.

Don’t think I’ve ever hated a manager as much as this guy.

Inspires zero confidence, charisma of a cum bubble, zero personality, no discernible leadership skills, tactics are utter wank and gives off serious cuck vibes.

Imagine playing for this wet wipe. My fear is that ENIC love having a spineless worm as their manager who will bend over and take it.

Your hatred should be aimed at the owners

Frank didn't hire himself

The owners have done him dirty but he shouldn’t be here anyway. He doesn’t have what’s required to manage a big club especially one as dysfunctional as ours. You have to be charismatic and get the players to believe in you, he simply hasn’t done that and isn’t capable of doing it. He’s asking the lads to play small-time football just like Moyes at United. They are never going to respect that.

Frank now appears to be the most unpopular manager we've had since Graham. Which got me thinking... is there any viable redemption arc for him? Is there any scenario outside of winning the Champions League which would trigger a second season... there are 14 games to go, if we got 30 points from those 14 it would get us to 59 points and probably 8th. And you would assume the football would be better as we wouldn't be getting 30 points playing the bollocks we've seen all season. Would that be good enough for a second season. Personally, I still see that as failure. Not finishing top six is failure and you don't move the goalposts because the first half of the season has been shite. Outside lifting the Champions League trophy, I don't see a way back.

The worst element is we only seem to look good when we are 2 goals down and throw his system out of the window and go for it. It shows the players are playing against themselves, the tactics don’t fit but he isn’t a real pragmatist like Redknapp he won’t change his system to fit, instead he will continue with the low block boot it forward style in the hope it will eventually click.

This isn’t a smart thing to say when the team is underperforming so badly.

At this point, genuinely, I dont think he sees it that way

Im sure he thinks it could be better, and that injuries etc are the limiting factor

Otherwise, I think - he thinks - hes doing as good a job as possible under the circumstances

Which is sort of true, HE is doing the best job HE can do. The detail that escapes him is that he's shit, and a proper manager could be doing a lot better....

No :frankreally:

In all seriousness though, no.

He needs to show some proper football, show he understands Spurs, show a style of play to get behind AND get results as well.

And he just hasnt shown anything in the 35 games so far to suggest he even understands the assignment, let alone has the ability to deliver

He doesnt see it, doesnt understand, is convinced he is doing the right things...

Itll never end well

good observation

Just watched the conference. He had a mini disaster there.
Guy is well out of his depth on how to deal with these big club problems and questions that come with it
I think he’s suffering from imposter syndrome.

He reminds me of a few people I’ve interviewed in the past where they just don’t know when to shut up!

The ones that on paper seem a really good fit, initially come across well and then just keep going …….

In the end they completely talk themselves out of the role to the point where you’re just scooting along to get to the end of the interview as quickly as possible! 😂
