If I had just faked my way to £8M and been a complete disaster, then yes I think I would have the decency to forgo any additional payments out of outright embarrassment. £8M will doOf course you’d do this and forfeit the multi-million pound compo?!![]()
Tbf, the same kind of thing could be said about this season and ENICAnyone who is now calling for Frank, who hasn't been before, and doing so because of yesterday really should find a brain.
Easy to say when you’re not the one potentially turning away the millions. If I had just faked my way to £8M and been a complete disaster, then yes I think I would have the decency to forgo any additional payments out of outright embarrassment. £8M will do
I'd take a traffic cone...As shameful as it is.
I would accept Big Sam's gravy at this point.
We probably should have asked Martin O'Neill before he went back to Celtic.

even poch would have his detractors before a ball is even kicked.Genuine question: is there any manager we could appoint who wouldn’t have sack calls within a season? The only name that even comes close for me is Poch.
Just goes to show how toxic and completely devoid of reality, far to much of our fan base is.Genuine question: is there any manager we could appoint who wouldn’t have sack calls within a season? The only name that even comes close for me is Poch.
wtf have our board been doing all these years. There is no plan amazing!I think with Brentford it’s all about the organisation as a whole rather than just the individual in the hot seat.
He’s hardly Conte or Jose. Just some imposter from a footballing backwater….. shameless fraud. I hate himEasy to say when you’re not the one potentially turning away the millions.
Most managers never resign, they wait for the sack. Or at least until their position is untenable and a settlement negotiated.
Our mistake is not sorting that out, now this guy could easily get us relegated.
We aren’t a hive mind. We all have different breaking points.

Mine was when he was announced as manager. Took others longer. Same as with the last guy. I broke after 99% of the forum had. Each to their own.
Joined: 1 February 2026Mixed up the giants, so what? The point stands that Thomas has us in the Last 16 while the "big" clubs are watching from home.
Winning away at Frankfurt and schooling Dortmund 2-0 is world-class coaching, end of story. You can cry about the PSG score all you want, but Thomas is building a tactical monster that’s going to lift the Champions League trophy in May.
We’re still grabbing that top four spot too. Keep your screenshots, I’ll see you after the Newcastle masterclass on Tuesday.
Agree - think Ange only had VDV flag art about 12 league games and Romero 18 last season. That was arguably far more impactfulAmazing really as Frank has only been without kudus, bent, Porro in recent weeks. We have been shite all season only really missing kulu and MADDs which we knew before season started. How Frank gets away with is beyond me. These journos are pathetic. Are they saying Frank can’t do better than teams like Sunderland and Brentford who have far less resources and quality than we do. Oh I missed Solanke.
We need to and should beat tune at home. They are not in good form either and have a few players out. Their away record is not good. Frank should just call Andrews to find out what to do to beat toon. LolI think they're playing the waiting game that Leicester played with Rodgers in 22/23, the most recent case of a team that was "too good to go down".
They sacked him as soon as they found themselves inside the bottom three for the first time (?) in the season, hoping for a new manager bounce to save them ; but it was too little too late.
Even then, you could still see the reasoning behind it: Rodgers had some serious credit in the bank based on what he had previously achieved there, and they kept hoping in vain that he would turn it around somewhat to steer them to safety at least, before leaving in the summer through mutual consent or whatever.
If my premise is correct, I can see him finishing the season or conversely getting the sack in a week or two depending entirely on how West Ham do during that stretch.
They do the unlikely [not necessarily the unthinkable] to beat United and Bournemouth at home for their next two to get neck and neck with us---> He's gone immediately.
They lose both while we fluke a win against a Newcastle team in serious disarray to once again build a rather significant lead ---> He's safe.
Vinai the great communicator would love to hear him explain why Frank is still here. Same goes for Lange and while his at it he can look at himself and his 30 point list.
Quite a difference to those of us who were holdouts last season and got dogs abuse for it.That's my point, basically
I didn't want him, wanted to give him a go, found myself looking for scraps to try and believe in
Probably fair to say I turned quite early on him
Don't hold it against anyone for taking longer
