The reason I'm as confident as he is that he isn't going anywhere -- and will likely be here next season (barring total disaster in coming games/spam+forest results) -- is I lolled season after season at scum youtubers, delighting in the agony they went through with Arteta's early years there and listened to them rage about Vinai sticking with him and refusing to sack him.

And now they're close to winning the title.

So it's not based on hot air.

Vinai will dig in.

Seems to be his thing.
Completely different. He'd already won them the FA cup and they were never really worse than mid table at their lowest. Plus no fan anger in the grounds as it was covid at the time.

As for barring total disaster, i'm not sure what that looks like if its not 16th place, 2 wins in 17 league games and 5pts off the relegation zone.

Gooners were never in danger of losing their place in the league
Doesn't matter.

Fans were going bizzonkers and AFTV was poppin' off after nearly every game and the pressure was huge and he didn't crack.

He's already referred to his time there going through this, hasn't he iirc?

By Frank's demeanour he's been told he is a long term plan and just needs to get get out of this rut and he's golden.

Also, if it keeps being this bumpy and spam and forest roughly match us along the way, that will be enough.

He won't pull the trigger.

No, fucking , thank, you.

Not one manager in these latest Brighton teams and Brentford teams have gone to be anything other than shite after leaving. They have everything in place, from top to bottom at those clubs, so they go for managers who can use those systems (or he grandfathered in like Frank/Andrews), and are able to cope because it suits them. Then they leave, not one has gone to do anything good.

Arteta had that crisis during Covid. Had the fans been in the stadium he would have never survived that toxicity. Scum were never in these desperate straits we now find ourselves in

I’m starting to worry that Enic might have looked upon all the managers of the Levy era and said: look at this. It’s costs us a fortune. Get rid of him. Now, let’s stick to this manager whatever happens and it’ll be golden. It worked for Woolwich didn’t it…

It's not.

The pressure was much more intense than this, in fact, because you had AFTV folk going bonkers wanting him sacked and it all going viral all the time.

Vinai didn't budge.

Watched it all very closely.

Firmly believe he's brought that mindset here.

No chance. Season ticket sales would be through the floor and thats if we stay up. Vinai isnt fucking Yoda, he cant will success or improvement to happen.

There's always a lineup that you look at and go enough is enough. That was it tonight for me. Bissouma starting, left back on bench, centre mid at right back and right back at left back.
