I've been thinking this for a while. How can we have so many injuries, all the time. It's easy for a player to get paid, not play, and then not feel part of the failure. Players leave us and their injury records clear up. Players join us and all of a sudden, are injury-prone.

Poor squad management, and poor team management

We have not had reliable cover for key positions, players get over played, injured, then the next player has to be over played - injuries cascade down...

But also, how often have we seen Frank (and Ange before) NOT play good options, CHOOSE to over play people?

10 mins...

I Hope Please GIF

Who would you think would be a good interim?

I want him sacked, as much as everyone.. I'm just gauging ideas.

Ange for the rest of the season?
Ole?
Hetinga?
Southgate?

What on earth are they doing?!

Just get on with sacking him so we can at least lift the mood around the club a bit.

They probably think they are being wise by not panicking........the is very much a time to panic

Are you fuckin trolling??!!
Leeds are eons better than us currently, they've got some balls and a good manager. They just came back from 2 down at Stamford bridge to draw....something that we'll never ever do probably in our lifetimes.

I am talking about players quality for fuck sake.

Under this manager we are ofc worse. But I replied to the post about "understanding how shit the SQUAD is".
Again - this squad has very many flaws and issues.
But never enough of them to deliver so shockingly poor results.

Pretty much every manager (and I suspect even number of posters in this forum) could squeeze more out of it.

It does feel that there is no coaching when it comes to scoring goals. We don't set traps and we don't seem to have a plan going forward.

There was a very good moment in yesterday's game when Newcastle had the ball at the edge of our box. One of the forwards ran out towards the ball and Dragusin followed him to close down the pass. There was quick pass back and the space that Dragusin left was immediately run into. If the Newcastle midfielder had been a bit quicker, he could have chipped the ball into the space. Clearly straight from the training ground.

Spurs do have a talented group of footballers - but we aren't playing to their strengths. We are continuously playing long-balls; and guess what other teams adopt that tactic? - Burnley, Brentford, West Ham, Leeds, Palace, Wolves - I am sure you see the pattern here. You can kick 1000 long balls to Solanke, Tel, Odobert, Xavi - they aren't going to win a single one of them, that isn't their strength. They want through balls, played behind the defenders that they can run onto; not balls lumped into the air.

Out of posession, Spurs need to win the ball high up the pitch and move quick.

In possession they need the settle the ball in midfield and invite pressure. Draw their defenders out of position with traps and have the forwards run in behind the defenders.

All we do at the moment is lump long balls, or run it down the wings with 1 vs 4 in the box to aim for.

I was going to be flippant and say it does feel like theres no coaching.. .period

But thats not true

We can see it - and thats the problem - the quality of coaching the team has is clearly levels below what it needs to be

We can see it in the complete lack of shape/structure/system on the ball
We can see it in the fact we treat the ball like a live hand grenade
We can see it in the incessant "out to the wing-swing a cross" play
We can see it in the "Could have quick throw, put the ball down, wait for someone to throw it long" play
We can see it in how the team always gets back into position, then doesnt engage
We can see it in kicking it long relentlessly to players who wont win it in the air
We can see it in consistently giving up spaces in front of our box

This team is coached. VERY coached. And Coached fucking BADLY.

THIS is Frank, this is what he is. An absolute fraud of a manager.

People will say "Well he did well at Brentford, this just isnt his level" - and while I agree this absolutely is not his level - looking at how Andrews has done with Brentford, I think there are serious questions about how well Frank really did there.

2 wins in 17 games. We beat Brentford at home and a terrible Palace team away. Let that sink in 😂😂

Yea, that has sunk totally, but thanks for checking :D .

Yea, our performances have been dogshit and results deserved. No argument there.

What I meant, again, was that this squad (EVEN in that injury crises) has more quality in them than we have seen.
So pretty much everyone would do better job as a manager.
