Ding ding ding. The locker room culture and standards were established for the past two years with this group. They were allowed to play like shit, lose at home all the time, finish 17th, etc., because the manager allowed it to happen. Zero accountability and no responsibility. Frank was unknowingly walking into a room with lazy, entitled, and complacent players, and he wasn't up to the task to whip them into shape.

The derangers continue with "Poor Frank had to put up with those lazy, entitled complacent players and it was the manager I hated who won a European trophy with them that's really the cause of all the problems and why we lost to West Ham".

Fucking hell. you have to admire the commitment to the bit. Then again - I guess it's all that's left to cling to in deranger world. :D

I think he'd want it permanently. It's no secret the club want Poch back in the summer.
Thing is if they got rid a few month we could have got an interim and had enough games to get the wins. Now with just 12 left and gap closed it’s more difficult to get any interim. We need someone with experience now who can left the players. That ain’t ole , mason and co. It’s more a Harry. Giving it to de zirbi basically means we have to give it to him perm so can’t get poch in the summer. With 27-26 games left we prbly wouldn’t have needed someone with lots of experience.

We were right to fire the previous manager but, fuck me, this thread filled with 'we are shit because of Ange' is nauseating. Frank was a terrible manager for us.

We are in this predicament because Frank was a terrible manager for us.

The team played like cowards this season because that is how the manager sent them out to play. Frank was a terrible manager for us.

Ange was awful in the end, Europa notwithstanding. Nevertheless, he was better than Frank. Frank was a terrible manager for us.

In conclusion, Frank was a terrible manager for us.

give him a 3 year contract and bin him after 6 months then, pay the compo, move on

hang on, ENIC tho
And ffs give him £8M / yr. £3M
More than Ange and 3rd highest in prem. in what world did he deserve that no wonder he looked as if he didn’t give a shit and was in denial about relegation fight or that we played shite but he saw progress.

Think we should take these inside info things with a pinch of salt. All these players have been at other clubs. Theyre not going to be any different to any other squad of players really. You’ll get the odd player who maybe don’t have the greatest attitude just like any club. All that culture stuff has to be led by the manager and those above him.
100%

If there is no strong culture of winning from the owners down to the Board and coaching staff you can't expect players to magically cook it up.

Yes there is a professional standard to uphold but the players are not decision makers. They cannot decide which systems to play generally (allowing for the EL last season) and they don't decide the transfer policy.

Like any job, the culture is set from the top down.

Trust me, Romero could go to Madrid/Barca and fit very well within their winning culture.
I don't think the squad are a bunch of mercenaries like we have seen before. There are a few (Biss, Muani, maybe Spence) but generally they come across as players that are passionate about the game and want to win (VDV, Xavi, Bergvall, Romero, Porro).

You cannot expect a strong culture at the club when you are still starting Bissouma in PL games. It's a fucking joke.

The mental gymnastics are actually incredible, they'll do anything to convince themselves that Aussie bloke is bad man and Frank had to pick up the pieces :moursad:

Both terrible. Players didn’t help. Board didn’t help.

Whoo - the joy of being a Spurs fan.

Has to go down as the worst manager I've seen at the club (been a supporter since the late 80's / early 90's).

I genuinely cant think of anyone worse than him - I'd even consider Gross better.
Ramos and Ange both won trophies.

Frank played some of the worst football i've ever seen as well as being a serial loser. Literally the only thing that looked coached was set pieces.
What getting someone to throw the ball long;-)

Utter nonsense. Romero and Porro are part of the rotten culture at the club Id sell both BEFORE Spence. What are you watching. They are all shit, but fuck me the idea these two ever presents the complete common denominator in the last three years of garbage are less responsible than a player who has played a fraction of their games is the most suspicious kind of blind spot.
