Player Timo Werner

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He's probably the best suited #9 we have in an Ange system with Son out but I have a feeling he'll use him on the left to keep Johnson on the right.

Lo Celso, Bentancur, Kulusevski midfield three.
Oh, definitely.

I was only thinking for whilst Son was away. Then again, he might just play him consistently on the left to get him used to that position, so Richie will stay in the middle for the next month or so.

Would be such a boost to the team if Werner immediately fits in. The balance would be a lot better.

I think he will be a good signing for the club.
I know some have doubts about his shooting ability, in that if he had fired the gun that day Kennedy would still be alive.
But I hope he does well and scores against utd.

Yeah, I have friends up Scotland who live in Glasgow, who I vistited a few years ago and speak too.

Now you can fuck off.
You know Scottish people that can speak???

we don't shoot much anyway,,as l0ng as he can tuck/walk it in from 2m - he'll be okay
plus he works hard and run a lot just like BJ

I’m not super excited about him but there is so little downside for us it just makes sense. If Ange can get a tune out of him he could be a low cost and effective addition, if he sucks he sulks back to Leipzig. At least we have some cover and another option when needed.

This looks like great business. In a high press side like ours, Warner will be a nightmare for opposing sides. He's also a much better finisher than the blooper reel suggests.

If it doesn't work out (though think it will) there is no harm done. If it does work out, we get a great signing for a pittance.

If Ange is happy, that's good enough for me.

If he’d scored 40 he’d never have left.

It’s easily possible that Werner scores 10 goals by the end of the season and tbh that will do.

If he works hard and helps us press that’s a decent January loan pick up. The problem is chavski thought he was their new Hazard and Spurs fans are already starting to expect too much from him. He will miss frustrating chances here as well.
If he gets 6 goals it's a good return. 7-8 is great. Anything above 9 goals is astonishing.

I think he'll go straight in on the left,Johnson on the right and kulu in 10

I think the great thing is that we've then got a variety of players we can put into starting line up or come off the bench.

ATM - 3 to start from from Richarlison, Johnson, Kulusevski, Werner and Gil, with Solomon to come back from injury and Son after Asian Games plus any youngsters such as Donley if he's not on loan.

Protects us that bit more from injuries too.

I assume we line up as:

Johnson Richarlison Werner

Or if we drop Richarlison then:

Johnson Werner Solomon

Werner can play central and left.
Probably best on the left but I think he also played some on the right at Chelsea. This is just an optimistic fan's point of view, but I'm really excited about the move. I remember when he first came to the Premier League there was an excitement about him. I don't think Tuchel was very supportive of him but at Spurs he will have a manager who wants him here and a system that plays to his strengths. An added bonus is this creates competition among those three and may raise their level of play.
