He's the kind of player you'd be delighted with if your team took a punt on him for £5m when he's an unknown, but much less impressed with when your the team that chucks £60m at the team that took the punt...Hasn't hit double figures in the league since he left Japan (and even then only once).....
0 goals in 6 the Europa League group stages this season (despite playing playing every minutes bar 25) and only one assist.... You'd think he'd rip that competition up in the early stages if he had another level to unlock.

That is the level we should be aiming for.
If we aren't offering the wages they can get elsewhere then we need to try and find that level of player before they explode BUT given FFP and the way the winter window was, there is no reason not to compete for a marquee signing.

It’s what we do to get in a top class forward that will matter.
If he could finish he'd be better than Salah and up there with the best winger in the World. His first touch on the chance he missed was a thing of beauty and extremely difficult technically, such a shame that he never looked like scoring. You can still see how valuable he is to the system though, and he has a good cut-back with his left foot. We'd be mad not to make this transfer permanent.
