Legend Tony Galvin

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

In my thoughts, the early 80's were when I really started to pay attention to Spurs, Tony was one of the players I tried to emulate, just a workhorse out on the wing.

Got quite upset at this news, hopefully the stroke is not too bad and he recovers soonest.
Tony G was a bit of an unsung hero and he was an integral part of the 80s team that won trophies.

a few years ago a mate of mine and I got chatting to him at WHL station after a game. He'd been doing some Corp Hosp and was in a Spurs blazer. Smashing bloke. (We didnt recognise him at first having lost a lot of hair).

Hugely underated player and man. Had a degree in Russian studies, worked tirelessly for the team and wasn’t afraid to put it about.
Was huge in our semi final in 82 when he was sent of with WBA’s ……… Martin Jol.
Set up Ricky in 81, he was a warrior. God bless and God speed to you Tony.
You were part of the glory.

Always looked like he played in trainer socks, as they were always rolled down 😁
