Stadium Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I really can’t remember it ever being allowed. I’m sure it was at some point but if it is again you can guarantee it wont last a while. What if a kid gets hit by a flying beer or a person of a religion who don’t tolerate alcohol gets covered in it? It’s a massive can of worms that I’m not sure clubs will really allow.

Reportedly the old bill have already placed an objection on the basis that it will increase/encourage bad behavior...... So yeh... Sounds like it's hitting a brick wall already anyway.

This will be all part of a marketing campaign to establish The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as a separate brand - starting with the marketing campaign around the fight' which will be seen by millions around the world. And many of them possibly never heard of Tottenham Hotspur and don;t watch football.

So Spurs are using the fight being held (and announced live on TV worldwide) at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium to get brand recognition. And rinse and repeat for all other non football activity.

Its an alternative way to generate money out of the stadium (and the brand recognition that gores with that) as an alternative to a 'naming rights' deal imo. Logical if we cannot get a naming rights deal we want as we will generate a lot of cash from the name of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium being broadcast around the world. - although a naming rights deal at say £20m is easier to quantify being outside the club, it wouldn't surprise me to find this way generates more cash in the long term.

There we go boys and girls. Subtly done wasn't it.

A separate entity and once the stadium has a sponsor everything possible will be done to remove any direct connection with our football club.

Anchor Tennants indeed. :disdain:

With a stadium called 'Tottenham Hotspur Stadium' and a marketing campaign around that name ...... it REINFORCES the bond of the stadium with Spurs.

Had the stadium been renamed 'DHL Stadium' you might have a point ! (nb Daniel Horatio Levy Stadium ?:bow: )

Our name has been ALL over the sports news/media this week..... Constantly so.

It’s what the club does with this positive exposure. We need to maximise revenue from all manner of events. I have no issue with that as long as the owners aren’t lining their pockets at the expense of the team. We are in a process that I can’t quite trust right now. Nuno doesn’t seem to me to be the man who will have the ability to take on Tuchel, Klopp and Guardiola over a season, even if our squad matched theirs. We shall see, & I’d love to be proven wrong. But there have been so many false dawns under ENIC and we were within touching distance not too long ago. A thumping win tomorrow and they’ll drag me back in bit I fear it will be short lived again.

The whole point of the stadium is additional club revenue... No evidence to think otherwise.

The "anchor tenant" thing is just the latest scare meme from the "Not One Brick" brigade.

Well, if we build a squad that matches City etc. and he can't compete he will have earned the sack.

In the meantime, I think his task this season is to re-establish an upward trajectory.... I don't think that is beyond him, but indeed we will see.

"The stadium also features something not seen every day in a stadium, a microbrewery. Owned and operated by local brewer Beavertown, the brewery makes approximately 23,000 pints of beer per match."

It's not enough !!
