Stadium Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

There’s has to be value in the stadium being called Tottenham Hotspur tbh I think it was a bit of a genius move. If there’s no value why do people pay £15m a year for naming rights. For sure a lot more people in the states are aware of us than ever were and that all has a knock on effect in other areas commercially.

Wait until it’s called something else now and then the usual suspects will complain Enic are trying to do away with the club’s name. You just know they’ll be saying it.

It's called the THS for a number of reasons. First is so that people don't get too attached to a name before we get a deal but also I guess, so that we don't forget who the current key tenant is. Other than a shiney cock on top, when you're inside it's not exactly dripping with Spurs, is it?

What a trolling fool you've become - "not exactly dripping with Spurs"

In fact it includes materials from the old stadium ... so it is literally made with Spurs history
  • The Shelf (East Stand, Level 1) ...
  • The Dispensary (West Stand, Level 5) ...
  • The White Hart (East Stand, Level 5)
all homages to our history ... have you noticed the colour schemes throughout? if you were a fan you'd know that they're all based on Spurs traditional colours.

But hey - "not exactly dripping with Spurs" - that might just be the dumbest post of the year.

Final proof that you've never been to the stadium, and you've never been a spurs fan.

Off to the shed end you go.

Don't like the door hit yo ass on the way out!

Tottenham Pie, One of Our Own beer, images from our history all round the walls of the concourses, old WHL centre spot marker, Come on You Spurs above the players tunnel, cocks on the facade of the building,....no you'd never know who's stadium it was.

By the way, should the thread be locked on Page 1882? Perfect. Then just start a "Stadium" thread rather than "New" which it isn't any more.

You’ve never been inside have you ? I mean the concourses are literally head to toe with Spurs memorabilia.

Exactly... Why sell them unless the bid is big enough to significantly surpass said value?

I'm a season ticket holder who has also bought tickets in all the other stands.
I don't watch football in the concourse.
More often than not, there's 3 tiers of red AIA ads blasting around the stadium making it look more like the Emirates than a Spurs stadium.
When empty there is zero Spurs identity on show. All absolutely deliberate to make it a neutral venue. Especially for the TV cameras.

Of course it's gonna look more NFL-centric with all their regalia plastered about, but that doesn't stop the words "live from the Tottenham Hotspur stadium" being uttered every fucking minute during the NFL, Boxing etc. for weeks in advance of the event itself.

IDIOT

Keep digging - not at all surprised to hear you know what the Emirates looks like inside - you very obviously have no idea about the Spurs ground .... silly little troll.

It is an absolutley fantastic stadium and the fact we have other events hosted there is great. The fact is, it is everything else with the club is the problem and the stadium is the one shining light at the club at the moment.

It’s hilarious the crying over other event hosting. The old WHL hosted all sorts.

Old Trafford when it was the top venue hosted rugby, England intls, Olympics etc.

If you did the tour, you'd know the attention to detail that referred to our history the design included. The cockerel is emblazoned all over the exterior, the tiling includes 1882 and our motto. Proper navy seats.
The shop was built around Warmington House, which is full of Spurs history.
Bill Nick's ashes are buried under the pitch, together with his wife's.
People can hate Daniel Levy as much as they like, but once the stadium build was envisaged, the actual design was well thought out and included lots of references to our history.
From your remark, it makes me think that you haven't been to the stadium, for whatever reason. :)

Actually, I agree with you re the AIA ads, all that red infuriates me. However, they now list all the Supporters Clubs from around the world, which I love, especially as Malta comes up in front of me :)

I've done the tour.
Still maintain that from inside the actual stadium, you could be anywhere. Watching any team. And that's by design.

Sorry, wasn't clear that you weren't referring to the stadium as a whole. I still think that on match day, there is no doubt whose stadium it is. I don't see the problem with having a multi purpose use stadium in the area, Tottenham isn't exactly a thriving place when it's not being used, the local restaurants and bars must love it when there's an event on.
