Latest from The Trust...
General update
March was another busy month for the Trust, notable for news on the freeze in season and match day ticket prices for next season. Read on for details on this and the cup guarantee scheme, our forthcoming quiz night with Gary Mabbutt, our work with Studio 306, a FAB update and our activity with the FSA.
Season Ticket and Match Day pricing for 2025-26
The headline news of a freeze in season ticket and match day pricing for 2025-26 was good and came as a result of extensive discussions that commenced in September of last year between the Trust, the FAB and the Club. The news was accompanied by the Club’s parallel decision to row back on its plans to restrict senior concessions to existing holders. By engaging robustly with the Club on behalf of all supporters we’ve secured key improvements to the Club’s approach. We believe the overall outcome represents a good result for supporters and are pleased that the Club has acknowledged our strong case and has acted on our advice and on our campaigning alongside
Save Our Seniors and the FSA’s
Stop Exploiting Loyalty campaign.
Nevertheless, there are other elements of the announcement that were less palatable. The proposed Ticket Share restriction to only permit transfer of tickets to Members and the ending of the Cup Guarantee Scheme have rightly attracted criticism. These changes were introduced relatively late in the consultation process and the Trust shares the concerns around the negative consequences of these proposals. We will continue to engage with the Club on these issues.
Moreover, although the restriction on new senior season ticket concessions has ended, the Club is persisting with its plan to reduce the discount from 50% to 25% by 5% a year over five years. Thus, seniors will receive a 45% discount for next season, which means that despite the general price freeze they will be paying more for their ticket next season – a clearly unwelcome development for those concerned. We are still awaiting clarification on senior season ticket availability, locations, and prioritisation criteria and will continue to work with the FAB and Save Our Seniors for a package which acknowledges the loyalty and commitment of long-standing and dedicated fans.
Lobbying the Club to reinstate the Cup Auto-Renewal Scheme
Please share this with your Spurs friends.
THST were both surprised and disappointed by the recent announcement that Spurs would be removing the cup auto-renewal scheme. This decision was made without any formal fan consultation mechanisms and has been met, almost universally, with dismay.
For the thousands of Spurs fans registered on the scheme:
- It provides a stress-free way to guarantee your season ticket seat for all cup games.
- You’re rewarded with 10 loyalty points for attending, regardless of opposition, ticket price, or status of the tie.
For THFC:
- There’s a guaranteed purchase, regardless of opposition, ticket price, or status of the tie, even if it’s a ‘dead rubber’ in the group stage. Those seats are sold.
With the removal of the scheme, thousands of supporters will now have to decide whether to purchase tickets for each tie. There’s a high chance that not everyone will buy for every game.
We’ve already informed the Club of the opposition to the removal of the auto-renewal scheme via the FAB, and they’ve stated they will reconsider it. Let’s ensure Spurs understand the scale of fan sentiment.
If you are affected by the removal of the auto-cup renewal scheme, please email
[email protected] and copy us in at
[email protected].
We recommend adding your own personal circumstances and reasons, along with the points we’ve outlined.
Thank you to the many Spurs fans who have already written to the Club to express their dismay about the removal of the Gold auto-pay facility for home cup games. Let’s keep up the pressure and continue sending those emails. It’s vital we let the Club know the strength of feeling and get this decision reversed.

More about Studio 306
We visited Studio306 in Wood Green, a vital community resource we’ve proudly supported for years, a connection forged by the late, much-missed Pete Haine. This inspiring studio provides a professionally equipped arts space for individuals recovering from severe mental illness, fostering independence and creativity. We were blown away by the quality of their handcrafted jewellery, screen prints, textiles, and ceramics – truly high-street worthy! Our annual quiz nights are a key part of our fundraising for them, and deeply appreciated by Pamela and the Studio306 team, providing crucial support for their operations. Fan Advisory Board update
THST has two representatives on the Board who work alongside various supporter groups to ensure that fans’ interests remain central to the Club’s decisions. While the THFC Board is not obligated to act on our advice—evident in meeting minutes where disagreements and differing priorities exist—supporter input has influenced numerous decisions, leading to new initiatives and policies.
The formal minutes of the most recent meeting can be read
here.
- Ticketing update – The most recent FAB meeting took place shortly after the announcement on next season’s ticket prices and concerns were raised on the changes to ticket share and the removal of the Cup Guarantee Scheme. Further detail is provided in this newsletter above. We will continue working with the FAB and directly with the Club to address the concerns around Ticket Share, the Cup Guarantee and implementation of the new senior season ticket arrangements.
- Heritage matters – The Club has confirmed that plans for a museum are on hold but remain a priority. We strongly believe a Club museum should be at the forefront, celebrating Tottenham Hotspur’s rich history, uniting fans through memorabilia and personal stories, and serving as a major attraction for Spurs and football fans worldwide. We are reassured that the Bill Nicholson Gates are being restored and will be temporarily displayed for photo opportunities before a permanent location is determined. We continue to advocate for a statue of Bill Nicholson alongside the gates once their final placement is decided.
- Other Supporter Initiatives – A Trust representative will sit on the Hall of Fame sub-group, helping shape plans to honour past players. Additionally, we are collaborating with the FAB and atmosphere groups to accelerate efforts for a singing section and other supporter-led atmosphere initiatives. We will also use Club channels to amplify volunteer opportunities for these projects.
Our work continues, and we appreciate the ongoing support from fans in pushing for meaningful change.
Football Supporters Association / Football Supporters Europe
The Trust continues to work with the
FSA and
FSE on issues that affect all football supporters generally. At the end of February, a Trust representative participated in a virtual EGM of the FSA which approved changes to its constitution, primarily around eligibility criteria for affiliated organisations.
The FSA is monitoring ticket pricing for next season with, at the time of writing, Brentford, Leicester, Liverpool and West Ham having announced price freezes alongside Tottenham’s. Woolwich, Brighton, Everton, Newcastle and Forest are increasing prices, demonstrating the necessity of the FSA’s Stop Exploiting Loyalty campaign.
Regular meetings with the FSA/FSE continued for representatives of English teams in European competitions. The Trust was able to share feedback on the uneventful (both on and off the pitch) trip to Alkmaar and gain the benefit of the experience of other club representatives on previous trips to Frankfurt. The Trust has received reports of a substantial number of unused tickets for the Alkmaar match and is following this up with the Club.
Supporters attending Tottenham’s away matches are reminded to complete FSE’s supporter survey at
Away Fans Survey – Football Supporters Europe after each month. The results are used to highlight problems at away matches and are fed into UEFA to improve fan experiences.
