If I was Spurs, I would sign Ziyech. He is not the strongest but he is developing into a very good player. There is one thing. Look at Tadic. He was an average player in the Premier League but in the Netherlands, he is one of the best in the league. In the Netherlands, it’s not as difficult as people think.

Tadic played for Southampton with average to decent players in a different role. But not at City or Chelsea.

And still his statistics were pretty good in the EPL, in 2017 and since 2014 No.4 when it comes to number of assists, better than Sanchez and Hazard:

Back 4 as expected. Then 5 in middle. Sissoko, if fit with Wanyama or Dier. Alli, Moura, Eriksen and Llorente.

Any other realistic option?

Maybe Rose in midfield ahead of Davies and leave Llorente on bench?

I don't understand why everyone doesn't take a scarf and hold it up. Maybe people don't want to be accused of copying Liverpool or something, but it looks fucking brilliant, not manufactured.
There was a little period when we started to sing "Making al the noise" (wasn't a great fan of the song but fuck it I'll sing 90% of what we sing anyway) when many started to swing our scarfs above our heads, I thought that looked great.

Oh FFS?!?!

I think for many Spurs fans Ajax is their European team. And a team with a great football pedigree.

Plus we have a good relationship at board level and both sets of fans hate feyenoord.

Wouldn’t wear one personally. But I also don’t buy replica shirts any more for myself either so I’m not the best consumer of spurs goods. .

However I can understand the historical appeal of this scarf.

Is this our biggest game since I have been going (mid-nineties, as a kid)?

The only ones I can think of which rival it are the Chelsea FA Cup semi a couple of years ago. That was huge because if we had won it, it may have given us an edge over them for the league race as well.

And the other one, which may sound strange, is Stoke away in the Leicester season. Leicester had just stumbled at home to West Ham, and it looked like they might be feeling the pressure. Us winning that game at Stoke brought us down to the shortest odds we've ever been (in my time) to win the league. But then Leicester beat Swansea the next weekend (cunts rolled over for them) and it didn't really look on again even before we drew at home to West Brom, which is where we effectively dropped out of being a serious contender, whatever chavski like to think. With hindsight, you could say scum (h) or West Ham (a) that season but they didn't feel as big IMO at the time because there was still such a long way to go, and there was every chance Leicester would blow it.

Sorry if already been posted...haven't read through the thread, but it will be interesting to see what happens between the two sets of fans. There is clearly something of a friendly relationship, but I wonder if that will be on show, or if it will just feel like a normal game. A controversial decision or something like that could also change things, considering the magnitude of the game. And apparently some of their younger lot have a friendly relationship with Woolwich anyway.

It's the biggest game for people who have been going for 55 years let alone 20 odd!

I'll stick my neck out and say I would buy one of these no problem back in my youth (I don't buy any Merch these days and haven't done so for years - (I do for kids in the family)). But only for when we went over there. I got shit loads of memorabilia I've bought when travelling following Spurs around Europe, so glad I've got them too.

Also, people scoffing at this but giving the thumbs up when they see an Ajax badge on a Spurs banner. Please educate me what the fucking difference?
