Match Tottenham Hotspur v Brentford | Saturday 21st Sept | Tottenham Hotspur Stadium | 3pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Played well and simply had to win. Id play Solanke v Qarabag for 50-60 minutes on thursday to get some rhythm and bag a few goals. Not liking our position in table atm. Have to win next sunday v utd and brighton. Both winnable but id take 4 points now.

The only time our position in the table matters will be come the end of the season.

What matters is building upon today. Do that and the results will come.

We need to be more clinical in front of goal and do far better with our corners. That slow sloppy start could have got much worse but two wins on the trot and with Qarabag up next week we really should be able to go to Old Trafford with a bit of confidence.

So we had a tad less possession today ?

Swap that any day for Spurs having 23 shots 10 on target with 3 goals versus 6 shots, 6 on target and 1 goal.

Maybe we should have both scored more goals today and cut out some of their attacks, but that just refinement of our performance

Feels like we knew to beat a team like Brentford, they'd need to be the ones with the ball.

We're quite far the best pressers in the league. It's no surprise we created alot by pressing them and cutting out their passes.

Anyone who loves the club would rather this, as it would mean the THFC is doing well.

It's up to him to convince enough fans that he deserves that time.

Those who, legitimately, question certain aspects of Ange's methodology, do so because they want THFC to be successful and do well.

It's Ange's job - and the job of ANY manager - to maintain the fan's faith in him delivering that success.
My question on his management has always been three names, Richy, Kulu, and Son. He must see things in training that he thinks can be replicated on the field. I just wish sometimes he would take a chance. He is a decent manager though.

My only gripe is the couple in front of me are mega excited to be here, clearly their first visit but they're taking selfies every three minutes.

There's a grumpy welshman in all their photos mouthing "fucking put the camera away" in all their photos.
Turns out they were fucking "influencers" .

Amusingly something happened to her phone and 10,000 photos got deleted and she had a public meltdown then barged everyone out the way at full time.

I had a great time. She had a shit time. Good times all round.

Brilliant performance and brilliant win. Hopefully that keeps all the negative noise down for at least another week because the last 6 days were just horrible on here.

The team clearly worked on being more aggressive in the final third and we created much more chances today. It felt a bit more like last season, where because we were taking more risks, we were left quiet open at the back a few times and rode our luck on a few occasions (LONG OVERDUE LUCK!). We definitely need to work on finding that balance between being aggressive in attack but not been wide open when turned over, but today saw a positive change. Less possession but more efficient! Maddison my MOTM, ran the show and I forgot how good he is on the half turn when he takes on his man. He is absolutely waisted playing sideways passes, he needs to always be our risk taker and creator!

Really enjoyed that. Couldn't have got off to a worse start, and we've seen the team wilt at shit like that too many times. But today they all stood up and went for it, for pretty much the full game. We really should've had 5/6. Their keeper played very well. Fully deserved and after a tough start to the season really hoping we kick on from here.
