Match Tottenham Hotspur v Brentford | Saturday 21st Sept | Tottenham Hotspur Stadium | 3pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We'll see what happens next week and a game at a time but hopefully this is the start of an actual turnaround and not just a flash in the pan performance.

Choked the life out of them at times and kept them penned in in the first half and looked like scoring every attack, shout out to Bentancur, was back to his best today imo, cut out so many attacks and kept the ball moving as did Romero.

Like I said, 1 game but that was more like what some of the more evangelical among us were proselytising about, there were still a few too many mishaps that would have been punished on another day, especially the keeper but you'd take that if we can extend that first 30 odd minutes and really put games to bed.

Much better today as an attacking force. Passing in the final 3rd was more incisive and our off-ball movement was good.

It feels like we made a conscious effort to not allow Brentford to “set” defensively.

Frustratingly wasteful with our chances, but much much better.

COYS

We pretty much dominated except perhaps 10 or so minutes in the second half where they had a few chances, because it's Premier League football and that's what happens.

We really should have scored about 5 or 6.

We still can improve further, but that was great. We pillaged them at every opportunity, ruthless, fast and positive play.

It's good that we were made to work a bit in the second half. Good for the players, not us 😂
If we continue playing like this we may have more goals sooner as they find ways to take more chances. As you say definitely we could have scored more. Johnson had that excellent chance but he just 2nd guessed himself, I think because Solanke was there... If no Solanke I think Johnson scores. He got caught in 2 minds, it happens. But next time he'll do better. Kulu could have passed it square to Solanke.

Good stuff.

How did we play?

Any noticeable difference in our setup?
The early goal could’ve killed us but the team showed character coming back and so swiftly.

Much more bite in the press, in midfield and in defence.

Set up, same. More intensity was obvious.

Vicario - good shot stopping. A couple of nervous/suicidal moments. Went long later in the game.

Son - 2 assists (I think) but poor with the ball at his feet.

The right 3 players scored today - big relief (palpable in the ground). Should’ve been out of sight before Brentford had a good 10/15 mins on the hour. 3rd goal killed them and the game.

Oh and Mikey Moore came on 👍🏻

And yet he isn’t.

Now celebrate the win or log off.

We lost on possession!!
Fantastic! -Clearly the result of trying riskier passes - being quicker going forward - Long balls and through balls to our front three with Son playing more centrally.

Ange clearly changed it up a bit today - Even saw Porro and Destiny overlaping Johnson and Son a few times. Been waiting and hoping for Ange to make these adjustments - Huzzah! Great win!
