Feels so good to see Lamela fully embraced by the Lane. Even if he was utterly mediocre today. We barely grinded out a result and I could give a fuck. Points are points.

We need a signing our two though. Our bench is a hybrid of yoof and subpar players as of now, without Chadli, Son, Clinton and even Bentaleb.
 
Well done victor the bastard !...but not a very convincing win. I think we actually bored them into submission. Slow, sideways boring football. No pace and uncreative. Two defensive midfielders and a striker that cant put the ball into a open net.:avbmad:.........its enough to turn you to drink.:myword:
 
Cheers Pardew. Double substitution just before defending a corner, it seemed pretty likely we were going to end up scoring then.

Otherwise that game was bloody torture to watch. Could easily have been 0:0 and I'd be in a very bad mood.
 
3 points which is just what we wanted.... we can kick on from here... thought for a moment it was going to be two draws for the opening two games but 4 points is just fine. Win ugly at this stage of the season is fine.
