We lose. We get relegated. Suddenly, a helicopter appears above the pitch, and a figure climbs down one of those huge rope ladders. It’s Levy. Boos ring out—but wait! All is not as it seems because he appeared to just pull his face off, and that’s because it’s not actually Levy—it’s Jeremy Baddiel in disguise. The past five months have been one big prank. We all call him a right rotter before laughing hysterically in pure relief.

Think Maddison wound be better coming on when Everton have tired legs

It's so tricky because you are probably right but then we have to trust our ability to be compact for 50/,60 minutes.

For me that strengthens the case for a midfield 4 or a 3-5-2, with yhe ability to poddinky bring Maddison and Solanke on st any such point innthe second half and if needed.

Who knows is the answer but De Zerbi has to find the balance between seeking to get ehat would be a vital first goal and staying solid, so we csn potentially bring Maddison on to try and create opportunities and calm the nerves.

Not a chance. He’s clearly miles off being match fit.

Bring him on when space on the pitch is starting to appear. Not at the start when it’s a battle to create that space.

They'll sit in, you don't need to be super fit when breaking a team down.

It's the out of possession demands, especially away from home.

We need his precision from the off.

Match fit. That sharpness of touch. Speed of play you only get by playing minutes at intensity.

His game is about getting on the ball. It’s just better to have time rather than none at all.
When the match start there’s no time. And that’s when you get either caught or need to twist and turn more.

But let’s just see. You say you want him to start. I don’t think he’s ready.

Really nothing more to say. We will know on Sunday .

He's not up to full speed yet, of course.

But the point is he's still far better than anything else we have in the creative department even half fit.

How blunt did we look the other night before he came on? Frightening.

I think it's a huge risk to leave it until near the end of the game if we need a goal, the pressure will be massive.

Go for it from the start, get a goal or two then control the game and see it out.
