Match Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool | Sunday 22nd December 2024 | KO 16:30

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If TAA is fit for them, he is going to murder us with the diagonal ball from his position to the acres of space behind Porro. Diaz or Gakpo on the receiving end of that pass, bad things will happen.

This was my first thought when Eriksen pinged one out like that in the game last night.

We'll get some chances of our own but I think we will give up many more chances and their forwards are too good. We will need a miracle.

I know Liverpool are top of the league but I have a feeling we might do something here ! Think there will be a lot of goals regardless , 3-2 or 2-2 incoming , Do we know who the ref is yet?

A couple of months ago before the injuries I really fancied us to do them again. However it will be difficult now, but not impossible.

Aggressive is the way to go against this lot. Got a feeling their players don’t like it up em and neither does the manager. Hope we have a decent set of officials but that’s probably too much to ask.

I think energy and lack of options to come in buggers us here, head says 3-1 Liverpool.

I think we’ll make them earn it, I just think we’re knackered and a few have been played into the ground for various reasons.

Hope to see Spence start however.

Really bad feeling about this game! Their high press is going to cause us massive problems and our confidence at playing out will be at an all time low. Also Trent's diagnol balls over Porro's head is another major concern as correctly pointed out by another poster above. TAA also has a brilliant set piece delivery so I think defending set pieces will be a nightmare in this game too. We are going to concede atleast 2 or 3 so the question will be is how many we can score? My team would be as below:

Forster
Spence Dragusin Gray Udogie
Maddison Bissouma Kulusevski
Johnson Solanke Son

We have to use the squad after that chaos game last night against United but the only realistic changes are bringing in Udogie and Brennan. I don't see Bergval starting this game. I want to see Spence play right back here. Porro looks like he needs a rest and I actually prefer Spence up against Luis Diaz. He has the pace and power to handle the quick transitional balls over the top. I really can't see a tired Pedro Porro handling Diaz! Johnson comes in so Kulusevski moves centrally at the expense of either Sarr or Maddison. I actually think I'd gamble on Maddison&Kulusevski midfield here. Sarr can obviously come on at half time if its a disaster!
