Spurs crowd supporting City tomorrow would be a bloody insult to Spurs. This is the City funded by the Saudis, the club facing over 100 charges of dodgy dealings, guilty of dreadful breaches of human rights.Jesus wept smell the coffee, you would want fans to support them. Even if they win the title, the chances are that when their eventual punishments are handed out they could be stripped of the title and it handed to Woolwich anyway.
No Thank You Reaction GIF

Professional footballers have a profession because of the fans. The game is what it is because of the fans and the rivalries that exist between fans.

Losing one game against one of the best teams in the world happened won't harm their development.
Ah ... but deliberately losing it, potentially getting thrashed, the resulting furore and whatever consequences that brings, vs winning against the best team in the world?

You think they would have a similar impact on the team? Ok ...

Anyway, some predictions:

- Ange and the players will want to win
- Most supporters in the stadium will want us to win
- We will try to win and lose
- We will all be happy

I love how Spurs are being made front and centre of Woolwich's season. Scum frothing at the mouth about us chucking the City game etc., etc

The title would be 100% in their own hands had they beaten City at the end of March, but they deliberately played for a draw and let's not forget they celebrated that 0-0 result.

That result was a good result. Nothing wrong with that whatsoever. Stopping City from taking points off you when they’re in Beast Mode is a win.

They fucked up by losing to Villa. That is when it was no longer in their hands and that is the game that will define their season. At home to them and the second half was an absolutely disgusting performance.

That’s when you could see their heads go a bit and the belief sap away in the second half when Villa just took control.

Massive nothing burger.

The whole thing.

Just forget about the game until kick off and watch it for what it is.
It’s not a nothing burger.

If we take points off City it will be the most fucking disgusting, pointless exercise in ritual humiliation.

I’m being honest - I would struggle to forgive the team. Genuinely. If they help the Scum they can fuck off.

These fuckers have let us down for decades and the one time we actually need them to be shit they decide to turn up?

Fuck. That.

Do you really feel that way? You're a long way from where Ange is FWIW.

If we give it a go, fall short, City win and it hurts Woolwich great.

What would you do, play the U21s?

I don't think it was all down to him though....🤔.....it was the great defence he had in front of him like Kevin Scott and Ramon Vega that helped......🤷‍♂️
The 5 clean sheets was the season before we signed Vega and Kevin Scott didn't get a look in under Gerry Francis.

The 95/96 defence that did it was Austin, Calderwood, Mabbutt and Edinburgh with Nethercott, Campbell and Wilson filling in as and when they were needed. Francis did this with exactly the same pool of defenders that nearly got us relegated under Ardiles which is why I've always maintained that defensive coaching and organisation is completely independent from playing personnel. You can have the best defenders in the world but if the coach can't or won't organise a defence, you'll still concede goals left, right and centre.

That's fine, doubt it will happen BUT not tomorrow night in our backyard give woolwich helping hand.

That game too.

But they were beaten fair a square that day, that happens in a season, in fact, City were well beaten by Villa too.

But had Woolwich gone for it, rather than sat back in a mid/low-block all-game then they would be going into the last day of the season needing a home win against the 15th-placed team on the beach with nothing to play for.

Whoever doesn't understand Spurs fans wanting Spurs to win on Tuesday, doesn't understand the Spurs fans who want Spurs to win.
:porrohands: :mickyarm:

Are you actually saying you wouldn't be delighted if we thrash the cunts 7-1? Because if you are, you don't understand football.
Both sides should at least understand the other POV, even though they don't agree. Most of us have lived with that lot down the road winning the league, but I think it's going to be a lot worse, with the media frenzy that will undoubtedly be in evidence.
I'm now at the point of feeling quite sick about tomorrow night that I'm thinking of giving it a swerve; it totally feels wrong not wanting us to win a game.
I won't celebrate if they score, that's every shade of wrong, but I won't feel any pleasure if we do win, but there will be a sense of relief.

I'm really fascinated by what the atmosphere is going to be like in the stadium tomorrow. Will there still be pro-Spurs chants? Are the majority of the crowd genuinely going to be supporting City, or does real life not reflect this forum/social media? I presume there will still be a high number of tourists there - what on earth are they going to make of the home fans potentially rooting for the opposite team?

It's a proper unique situation in English football and I can't think of another time it has happened (I vaguely remember Portsmouth fans cheering for whoever they were playing to send Southampton down in the early '00s, but think that was the away section).

Will be a game that goes down in the history books whatever happens.
I reckon it'll be quite weird...
Like a Celebrity/ex-Players XI pre-season Friendly, where you don't REALLY care about the result, but cheer all the goals, regardless of which side scores them!

I'm still harbouring hope that the entire South Stand does the Poznan IF Man City win...

After all, we owe them something after WEMBLEY 1981, and The Etihad 2010 & 2019
