Yes, Dembele made a mistake also in teh first one, and several players didn't have a good game, but neither did many of Utd's. In the end Tottenham scored a properly crafted goal while Utd's were from defensive errors and bad goalkeeping.

I've never rated Vorm when he was at Swansea and Pochettino only chose his reserve keeper because he played in the early rounds against the likes of Rochdale and when Spurs were in the Champions League.

Goalkeeper is the most important position in the team, if you are sentimental in the semi-final of the FA Cup then you are too soft! Poch is soft, I'm afraid, but he is a good manager otherwise. That is why he never defends his players against media abuse and never calls out referees and a well known campaign against Spurs.

Other teams can dive and get freekicks/penalties, Spurs never get a free kick for a dive and don't get one when they are fouled most of the time.

But all aside, the goalkeeper issue cost Tottenham and when I saw the team I knew Spurs were out!

Hugo is also just as likely to make a mistake or two as Vorm is, perhaps more so.

Too many of our players didn't turn up yesterday and that's why we lost.

Y'know.... it's refreshing to know that the FA... the supppsed BASTION of English Football can turn on one of it's shining lights so quickly (and let's face it, there haven't been many recently)

Harry Kane represents everything that is GOOD about the English game... he's young, clean living, an example of "doing things the right way" CAN get you somewhere... rather than shooting up drugs, gambling on games, visiting sex dungeons and paying off Prostitues...

And yet the FA are perfectly happy to jump on the 'online bandwagon' of Spurs ridicule THE MOMENT he has a bad game in a high profile game.

Well shame on you "The FA", and the CUNTry you represent... I'm ashamed to be English right now.

Maybe if you'd have hounded the likes of Barry Bennell when you had the chance, rather than sweeping that under the carpet (as well as COUNTLESS other examples of institutionalised child abuse within your ranks) there may have been a few MORE promising young footballers like Harry Kane available to the National Team.

I haven't got the stomach to read this thread as I can just imagine the in-house bickering and worse. For a third game in a row, all I can say is what a disappointment that was, especially when for the most part, we were the better team. I so wish I wasn't at work tomorrow but will just have to face the plastics as I have done in the past. I could take it from someone who actually attends the odd game, but most of them watch from the comfort of their sofas, spewing the same stuff as the pundits, because none of them have an original thought in their heads.
I'm still pretty miserable about the result, and that not going to change until we've beaten someone by a handsome margin.

In the haze of spunk and plaudits 'master tactitian Jose' is getting today, I'm surprised no one has pointed out that he was intent on killing the game from the moment they equalised... the fact THAT goal was started with a blatant hand-off on Dembele from Pogba was conveniently ignored, but only added to the snidey little off the ball fouls, CONSTANT shirt pulling and time wasting tactics they employed...

But whenever we dared to 'bite back' Utd would merely play it for all it was worth, roll to the floor like assasination victims and waste countless more minutes... 5 mins of injury time barely covered ONE of their subs... it was disgusting to witness.

No surprise that all 3 subs were players at the OPPOSITE side of the pitch. (Though it felt like they'd made about 5 subs!!)
If they wanna improve the game, and VAR etc.. why not hook up the REF'S watch to the scoreboard, alongside the ACTUAL time... THEN we'd see how many times it is stopped for breaks in play... and have a better idea of how much TRUE injury time there Should be.... I'd guess at 7-8 minutes yesterday!

Jose is killing the modern game with his win at all costs mentality.
Yes, he may be a 'serial winner'... but he's sold his soul to the dark arts of 'tactics' a long time ago...

He gets away with it cos most of the media secretly fancy him... but you just KNOW if we Applied the same approach, we'd be labelled dirty, Poch would be a cynical Argie... and we'd still be refilled!
Dele has been labelled a cheat pretty much all season, even Kane is getting goal now...
Look at the 'Battle of Stamford Bridge' a few years ago... it's the ONLY time I've seen a real nasty streak in us, and we were absolutely slaughtered for it. (Agreed, we did it in plain sight, which was stupid and naive) far better to do that kinda shot when no one is looking!

This is the same team that beat United, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Dortmund, Chelsea, and Woolwich this season, and also drew at Juve down 2-0. Let’s not act like we don’t have good players or that, big picture, Poch and Levy don’t have a good handle of the club.

Didn’t play our best yesterday, but we also seem consistently naive and stubborn in these one offs, both the players and the tactics. Need to figure that out or we won’t be lifting a cup anytime soon. Top 4 is more important than the FA Cup big picture for the club, but it’s still silverware we should want to win.
 
Compare this team to Liverpool. I’m going to go ahead and assume they arent winning the CL. They could easily finish 4th and us 3rd.

That would be Spurs ahead of them 9/10 years in the league. Last trophy both clubs won was the League Cup.

No ones meltng up north. Klopp may be a douche but he’s a good manager. They are investing in the team, improving, progressing.

It’s not the club mentality, it some of our supporters who need to be cleaned out. When you make Liverpool supporters look rational, you need to look in the mirror.

We must be very harsh when we analyse our performance in the cups this season.

League Cup: Threw away a winning position at home
European Cup: Threw away a winning position at home
FA Cup: Threw away a winning position at home

Keeps repeating season after season. Manager and players are to blame. BUT The club should repair this by signing a couple or more experienced players and previous winners. Signing young players are for the future but the need of marquee players is parallel to wining trophies.
