To be fair, he wasn't that great the weeks prior to the injury. Looks like the Kane from the Euros, slow, ponderous, indecisive. He had a decent half-chance today which if he was on it he might've snapped the shot off earlier.

Every time we play a maureen team they dive, drag out play, play nasty small dirty fouls and get away with it
Our lot get frustrated with the ref then go inside their heads - someone before said why isn’t there a sports psych on staff and I agree
But would still watch a team that plays honest and fair rather
Than suffer a united style team just to win things
I would rather watch our team than that anti-football shite we played today

The season is not over, and the team is not done for/hasn't peaked/aren't "losers"/etc.
Poch needs to sit down though and think about what went wrong here, and how he played a part in it. Watching him run a "fitness is king" regime and then shamelessly trot out a half-fit harry has been severely disappointing, not to mention practically suicidal in a league as fast and physical as the premiership.
The club will be fine in the long run.
We may not make it to the top of the mountain as quickly as some here would hope though.

Bit weird - I love us winning against anyone and if we go the rest of time without winning anything I'll still love it. Days like today are fucking terrible especially if there are mistakes and shit performances to blame but don't make nonsense generalisations like pochs training fucks us or we haven't been so much better in his time than we have for near enough 30 years.
Also, Alderweireld absolutely should have fucking started. Sloppy defending for both goals. But oh well, at least Poch showed everyone ‘who the boss is’...
That depends on if the players stay, which seems dubious at best.
If Toby and/or Kane/Dele/Eriksen leave this summer, we're back to square one and in deep trouble. Not to mention Son still has his mandatory military service that no one likes to talk about.
Like I said, the stadium? Sure, better. Financially? Sure, better. Players? Sure, better.
None of that wins us trophies.
To think many said we don't need anyone last summer. We wouldn't have even had sanchez filling in for toby if we had done that. Come on levy & poch. 2 real quality signings this summer. Lets help ourselves!
Yeah I’d say that’s about right.
I’d also say there are 3 players who can’t be carried - Kane, Eriksen and Dembele - as we rely on them so much. If Dele or Jan has an off game for example be seem able to absorb it...not with those guys.

You know I actually feel for the players and the manager.
Must be such a difficult situation to deal with from a point of view of professionals who want to prove they are good enough to be winners.
Get 4th and when we do look back on this season that many thought would be one of transition, we will think it okay.
There is a certain painful and sick irony however in all 3 of our cup evictions coming at our assumed home.
Maybe the Wembley hoodoo remains.
Must be such a difficult situation to deal with from a point of view of professionals who want to prove they are good enough to be winners.

Retaining top 4 and CL football is the whole key to getting past this banana-peel period we are in. Its disappointing we weren't prepared to win this game, but I will still judge this season a success if we simply achieve CL football.
Kane/Dele/Eriksen aren't going anywhere. They seem to have bought into what we're building here.
Toby, well that might be another story. And that would be a huge loss, granted.
I still believe in the way this club is being built...
