Match Tottenham Hotspur vs Aston Villa

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Next season some Arab buys use, we get messi, ronaldo and all the rest, win every game 5-0 and pretend we haven't sold our soul. Far as I am concerned man city do not exist, they where replaced by the Arab oil united football team but the man city fans pretend they still live like elvis.

I can honestly say I hope we never succumb to such a trend.

I will say one thing positive about Villa and that's Fabien Delph, genuinely not seen him have a bad game, song pacey great control. Deserves to be at a better team, imagine he would thrive at Southampton or Everton.

Delph is quality. They have a few players that if they build around, they could still be a quality team. But they've got to up the ante in the transfer window and bring in a few more of those players if they want to stop this cycle of perennial relegation shaves. Just weird watching such a storied and supported club struggle towards the bottom with the likes of Norwich, West Brom, and Cardiff.

What I was thinking, and why my impression of performance today is a bit modest.

Villa were diabolical all around and we should have created way more chances.

Bottom of the league have almost fallen over each others feet to get themselves relegated.

Straight chipped long balls at their defence were enough to create chances, which was lucky as we had no wingers.

You can see from the table the standard of the teams - we've only 3 less points than last season but instead of being 4 points off 4th we are 10.

Can anyone tell me what the kerfuffle was with Sherwood, someone mentioned that a fan was giving him stick so Sherwood asked him to be manager, and the fan sat in Sherwoods seat??? is this what happened?

The bottom teams were poor and the top were better: it still ended up being a brilliant season overall. I'm not a Tim hater, and I think he did what he could considering. He's not good enough to be our full time manager and I'll wish him the best with another team or back at his old role. 6th isn't too bad, considering and I look forward to another campaign and Europe after the world cup!

Case in point.

Which is why Sherwoods wins-per-game percentage means sweet fuck all. Beat your competitors or fail.

Villa were a bit toothless and I was happy that we got to 3-0, but considering hours they played it was a bit of the same old story for the next 60 mins or so.

I don't know what it is about the manager, but he doesn't seem to be in the right place. by that, it seems to be like he's an outside contractor - not part of the team, if you get what i mean?

i don't want a manager that seems to control us from neutral ground and wants the media to like him more than hits own fans. I want someone who acts like he's part of the team, giving us hope not slagging players off and telling everyone to wake up and odd PR stunts

Thanks and good luck Tim, but stop blowing your own trumpet and recognise your mistakes fella

Only just home, sorry if this is all old news now. Thread seems quiet...

I'm guessing it may have been mentioned at the time but Guzan was down injured for three minutes thirty seconds yet the ref added on two minutes at the end... Proof that they just make it up as they go along!

What the fuck was the ten minute wait at the end when the players went in to the changing rooms before coming back out of the lap of "honour"? Anyone else think that was very strange? Plus Sherwood bottling it not giving a speech!

Didn't stay for that..I'm afraid there is no way in the world that the players deserved a standing ovation..
Nor did three quarters of the other fans there today..
It's been a piss poor season and I can only hope that the players know this.
