Match Tottenham Hotspur VS Eintracht Frankfurt. Thursday 10th April 2025. 8pm KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I know that Bodo-Lazio draw is not over yet, and I have no idea how big of a deal that Bodo's artifical pitch actually is in the event that they go through. But even assuming the worst, you won't get an easier draw than that on the SF of EL. Even in a relatively watered down version of this tournament where CL teams no longer join into the mix.

Second leg could very well be a ticket to the final. Hope we don't look back on some of the chances missed today with deep regret further down the road.

Well - all the trains were cancelled from WHL to Enfield/Cheshunt, so I've just got home. Walked to Silver St station (which of course is shut after matches), but luckily got a couple of buses back to the car at Enfield. I think we were luckier than the poor Cheshunt sods?

As for the game - any half decent Spurs side would have mullered Frankfurt. They weren't very good at all. Their fans were superb though. Bergvall was about the only bright spark and even he wasn't really firing on all cylinders.

Why the hell that cunt Postecoglou made no substitutions until way too late, heaven only knows - I think psychologically he's left the club already.

Never mind - we'll smash 'em next Thursday, won't we?

From where I was sat, it said JUST FAT - and all I could think of was the useless cunt in the technical area...

Sorry to hear that, as I left in time to make the 21:53 to Bush Hill Park, so I must've got one of the last trains back.
Ange played statues for most of the game as per usual, and I reckon he was thinking about what to spend his severance on, instead of tactical matters.

I’ve got a funny feeling that we will .

Apologies for my pessimism aka realism .

It’s where we are mate .

Yes, you must have. To be fair, it was a warm night so the walk was fine and the buses arrived quickly. My bus pass didn't seem to be valid, so i just walked on. The drivers didn't seem to mind lol. Quite enjoyed not being on that bloody train.

To be honest, I only got the train on a sudden whim, and I enjoy the walk down WHL to the A10, where I'd get a bus to my car, parked at my parents' house in Bush Hill Park. I find the walk a good way to mentally let off steam before you get home, as I made a conscious effort to leave it at the doorstep a while ago.

I always park at BHP too, but not at your parents' house. What's their address, in case I get there before you?

I’m sure they’d love to “ step up “ ; but what / who is going to to tell / allow them to do that .

By rights we should have sealed the deal tonight; it’s unacceptable that we didn’t Unacceptable.
Well Sonny got a 'wake up call' from someone - Whoever that is please include all the team & manager in the group call for the next one.

We blew it tonight.

I’d be delighted if we went trough ; but can’t see it happening.

We should be cruising through these kind of games. Not saying that because I’m arrogant; but the money and resources at our disposal should make It so .

We were favourites to win the competition at the outset for a reason . Frankfurt weren’t.

I just don’t think 1-1 was enough to take to Germany , on another night we win that 3-1 , still at least we still have a chance

Second half was the first time in months that we've played with any sort of conviction and that was the most pleasing thing even though it made the result even more bitter.

But it was the first time in months I've had any hope of getting anywhere in this competition. Probably too little too late but it was something to take out of the game.
